Too bad Russian soldiers aren’t on twitter so we can’t spread disinformation amoungst them. If they did, we could get things like #GhostOfKyiv trending to keep some fighter pilots on their toes and show the impact Javelin’s are having even more.
We also would need to tweet in Russian obv from alias accounts and google translate isn’t perfect so it would be easy to spot.
It’s probably impossible but it would be neat if we could create thousands of bot accounts on Russian social media posing as Russian military in Ukraine saying like “this is a stupid war, these are our brothers and sisters what are we doing fighting them?” “I’m going home” etc
I am against disinformation and information warfare but in this case if this was possible and worked it would be to end a war and stop a madman with nukes. So I see it as acceptable.
Even if this worked and the Russian government just shut down social media completely it would make the soldiers feel even more isolated from home reducing morale even more which is a good thing.
Better yet- have your army of cyber sparrows on tinder set up dates with Russian soldiers and when they show up for their “Date” they get captured.
