Another video address of Mayor of Kharkiv.

TRANSCRIPT (full video: t.me/uniannet/33534)

Dear inhabitants of Kharkiv. We have endured a very difficult day today.

You know. Today has showed that it not just a war. This is a killing of us, People of Ukraine.
For the first time in many years Kharkiv went through this. Shells which hit residential buildings, killed and crippled innocent civilians.
Kharkiv did not see such destructions ever in the recent history. And this is terrible.
37 wounded only for this day. 3 of them are children
People went out. 4 people. They went out of bomb shelter to get water and lost their lives.

A family. 2 adults and 3 children. They were burned alive in a car. This is indeed terrifying.

We are together. We have to endure this. We are together. We have to become stronger.
Yes. It is very difficult. But we are holding the line and we will hold the line.

I feel grateful to outlet military, I feel grateful to our territorial defense who protect the city of Kharkiv.
I feel grateful to our medical professionals who save the lives of Kharkovites. I feel grateful to our utility service workers who under shelling repair damages made by occupiers.
Think about it. Under gunfire, when shells are flying, our utility service workers repair heating-houses in order to deliver heat.
Our plumbers provide water, repair leaks which were created by shell explosions.
Our sanitation workers collect garbage because we understand that the city must function. We understand that the city must be clean notwithstanding all the horror which is around us. Heartfelt thanks to them. Let us thank them for their work.
I am grateful to our partners, incl those abroad, who start to provide us humanitarian aid. It is food. These are personal hygiene products which we need. These are diapers, wet tissues, washing liquids - all the items.
Baby food - we need it very much today. Milk formulas.
We are starting to organize logistics depots, where will store food and distribute them to the people. Distribute. Distribute, because today it is our duty to help one another.
Today many volunteers join us. We are together. Together we will organize all this. The entire city will be like one united strong family. This is very important for us. In such moments we must stick together.
We will win for sure. We are holding on. Kharkiv is holding on. And will hold on. Victory will be ours. We are together. We are Kharkovites.

The overwhelming majority of captured Russians either deny they knew where they were heading or say whatever out of fear.

Artsiom, artilleryman from Ulan-Ude is one of few exceptions who seems to actually get it.

Actually, it was a mistake that I did not refuse back then from all of this, although we were thinking about it.

What has happened now… The things which I saw here… [sobbing] Children die… This is not a joke. Strikes…

I would never want…something like that for my children.
That’s why. Forgive me [breaks into tears]. Just live the life as usual. Just I want everything to be fine. I want this – what I saw and what is still ongoing here in Ukraine – never happen again.
