These planes can hold over 100 soldiers and destroying them in the air would have been a huge tragedy and failure for 🇷🇺. Another Il-76 was to be shot down near Bjelaja Tserkva. We about this directly in Vasylkiva, but most people thought it had not happened right there but 3/n
about 10 km further in the town of Kalynivka. We arrived in there and locals told us that they were unsure, and we should ask the local territorial defense. We did and they told us that it weren't Il-76s but helicopters that they shot at them but have missed 4/n
We drove through other villages, asked other people but no one knew a thing. In conclusion I don't claim it couldn't have happened, but it seems unlikely to me. It's really an informational mess here: the more interesting the information, the less likely it is that it's true 5/n
It was the same when I reported from Donbas. There's simply a huge fog of war, which can obscure everything. Although I'm here, trying to verify all with my own eyes, it's insanely difficult to make sense of it. Remember this when reading reports and don't jump to conclusions 6/6
