A 🧵of Smart 🧵(with the exception of mine) on the the new dumbed down CDC's Community Levels.

"Dumbed down" because CoVid actually causes IQ loss and brain fog.

These Community Levels will cause more CoVid. Thus literally, dumbing down America.
At the writing of this thread BA.2 is ripping up multiple countries including Hong Kong and Denmark.

It is also spreading across America.

As part of the changes, the CDC is recommending no longer doing universal contact tracing, so it will be more

difficult to track these cases.

With this PowerPoint presentation to provide the rational behind that decision - if you read that carefully, you'll notice they never actually say why.

Nor do they show the old system was actually broken.

As part of this release, the CDC had a 39 minute press briefing.

Took 18 questions, and the CDC closed the call due to "time constraints".

One question was about LongCoVid.

It's safe to say Walensky flubbed it.
This is not surprising as she has never actually tweeted about it.

Clearly an uncomfortable topic when you are trying to convince a population of things they can see with their own eyes, and experience with their own bodies.

Most likely reason why these maps were changed:
Here begins the analytical threads.

Why using lagging indicators is not good:
A graphical display clearly showing the dramatic increase of what's acceptable in terms of levels of cases and transmission by the Biden administration.

This, of course, translate into acceptable collateral damage in terms of death and LongCoVid.

The old classification system via animation:
A thread that channeled most of our concerns.

A short thread that cuts to the heart of the equity concerns regarding vaccination rates. There are also equity issues with the lack of adequate ventilation, testing, etc.

Issues that indicate taking away Walensky's scarlet letter? Masks? Not good.

Excellent callout on equity:

A million dead in 2 years (with some NPI's in place) and the elites want us to treat it like gun violence?

That takes out 90,000 every two years and is NOT contagious.

It IS endemic.

CoVid is not.

So, these CDC metrics? If you read the NYTimes, they might sound familiar.

Think about this. Biden and his entire administration has bought off on this.

Really great thread that touches on scientific and popular support for masks, equity for low income, and the fact many are not vaccinated.

When I am agreeing with those opposed to public health?

Walensky has done more to harm the CDC's reputation for public health than Redfield, Trump's stooge.

We expected that from Trump.

To have a Democrat appointee do it?
