Today @DevonWesthill + I testified sincerely on the racism of critical race theory. Rep Sheila Jackson Lee disparaged us as political. I started filming my evidence, juxtaposed with her denials. “You need to put down your camera,” she said in a subcommittee on the constitution 🤦🏻‍♀️

I know. It’s weird I said, “This is free speech.”🤔
I wasn’t speaking. But I was—through my camera, documenting for you the ‘receipts’ as Rep Sheila Jackson Lee denied critical race theory’s racism.

Politely, @RepMikeJohnson said, “This is a public hearing.” Then, this staffer, acting as the parliamentarian, told Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee that she’s wrong. That’s when she said she’d “allow” me my constitutional right. 🤦🏻‍♀️
