2. When it started: 13/02/ 2019 in Harare the Government of Zimbabwe @MoLAFWRR_Zim with support from @faosfsafrica successfully launched the consultative process towards the formulation of a Comprehensive National and Gender Sensitive Land Policy for Zimbabwe. #zimlandpolicy

3. The sensitization and mobilization process continued in 2019, with multi stakeholder meetings in Bulawayo and Manicaland. This saw active participation of various stakeholders from every province. #zimlandpolicy

4. What has been done: 2020 to 2021: “To ensure the land policy is relevant to Zimbabwe’s development agenda, the @MoLAFWRR_Zim, undertook comprehensive multi-stakeholder consultations in all ten provinces.” @basera_john @PatriceTalla @faosfsafrica @DonaldTchidoori #zimlandpolicy

5.The consultative meetings provided opportunities for citizens to speak about the land and property rights challenges they and their communities were experiencing. #zimlandpolicy

7. Where we aree: 2021Views from the multi stakeholders were taken on board, additional written inputs were also received, which led to the formulation of the draft National Compreh policy framework that we are here in Bulawayo to review. #zimlandpolicy

8. What have we learnt so far: The Process matters just as the final product!

9. "A land policy formulation process is a participatory process, which involves a wide range of stakeholders, including multi-stakeholder groups. It is vital if the resulting policies are to be politically acceptable, technically feasible, pro-poor and capable of being enforced"
