Some AMA highlights from the Gods of Asgard's Core team!
Hope it can answer a few questions you may have about the game! We will have major update for you guys on the 15th regarding gameplay, story, lore, etc.
Join us for our next AMA 3/10! ⚡️
Q: How will the combat and gameplay be like?
A: No guns :) The gods will be using hammers, bows & arrows, spears, etc. We're initially launching in 3rd person with a 1st person update in the future. Each will have functions and skills like passive and higher power abilities.
First phase will be PvE then PvP. We want to be able to balance and ensure the game is at a PvP ready state before transitioning over. Stay tuned for our medium post on March 15th for a look into in-depth gameplay.
Q: What types of P2E mechanics will there be?
A: We are taking Battle-Royale style mechanics and incorporating it with mechanics from games like Breathe of the Wild such as passive animals running around the environment that will be killable to replenish health damaged
from other players and enemies. In the future, we are able to add crafting elements to the game. You'd be able to craft different weapons or use material gathered from the environment to craft other helpful items
Q: Will the game be compatible for Macintosh or Linux
A: We are 100% working actively to ensure it's compatible with multiple platforms. Mac and Linux compatibility will not be implemented on launch, but will be a goal for future release
Q: Is there going to be an entry barrier to play the game?
A: We will have a static mint price for Gen 0 NFTs. Our goal is for the game to be accessible to all. Breeding Gen 1s and the scholarship system will allow accessibility to those who cannot afford Gen 0 mints!
Q: Will i need a powerful graphics card? Will there be a mobile version?
A: Our resources are lightweight and not hardware intensive. We certainly plan to push out a mobile version in a future update! The beautiful thing with Unity is the ability to push out updates.
We plan to push out updates in phases to ensure the bugs are handled appropriately. There is no limits to what we can achieve, but want to ensure we do the launch right.
Q: Other P2E games use a finite pool of energy to play will GoA have that feature?
A: It's certainly on the table for multiple for reasons. For example if we have investors that scholar out their NFTs, sometimes you will see investors require a lot from scholars in terms of play
time. It also allows the economy not to be over inflated by allowing people to earn in-game tokens like crazy. The energy system will be implemented and provide a healthy balance for the game economy.
Q: How will the PvE battle-royal work with NPCs??
A: The NPCs are not going to be dumb NPCs. NPCs will have unique mechanics and intelligent fighting. AI controlled enemies try to hunt you down. Enemies will act as players competing in the battle-royale. If you were to slay a
big boss for example that controls a top spot and earn tokens, it will feel rewarding. You'll feel like you really overcame that and that's why we're adding things like food gathered from animals to support the challenging gameplay.
Thanks for giving this a read! Can't wait for you all to play the game!
