The science of the event will be a selected set of oral & poster presentations across our themes, with talks to start the themes by our fantastic keynotes:
Right now the committee is reviewing the received abstracts to assign who will give poster and oral presentations for each theme:
- Environmental Processes in Soil, Water and Air
- Emerging Contaminants
- Novel Techniques
- Atmospheric Chemistry
- Ecotoxicology
We'll be streaming talks live via the audio-visual team & @YorkConferences. We'll also have an online networking space for those who cannot attend in person or choose to attend remotely (see discount "online-only" rates). For future events, we hope to expand our hybrid offering.
The main venue is the @UniOfYork Ron Cooke Hub through our hosts @YorkConferences (inc. image credit). We'll be using the main lecture space for all oral presentations & the light & airy Atrium for posters and breaks.
We will have our conference meal in Vanburgh College’s dining Hall after a post-presentations networking time in Greg’s Space by the iconic @UniOfYork Central Hall building & lake.
We @RSC_ECG have intentionally chosen a #wheeling accessible venue with other key inclusive adaptations (inc. T-Loops for audio). Please feel free to contact the organising committee (details on the event website) with any questions about #accessibility.
If you are able to, why not take the weekend to explore what #York has to offer after or before the conference?
Check out what’s on in York via @VisitYork (visityork.org/search). Screenshots of the current listings for the weekend adjacent to the conference are below.
We would also like to emphasise the ability for remote attendance at #EnvChem2022. For RSC/SETAC members, this is only £65 if bought before the early bird deadline. Please feel free to address any questions about this & streamed talks to the committee.
An important point to note too is that we @RSC_ECG & @SETAC_BRANCH_UK are not running this event to make a profit. @RoySocChem is a charity and any money made above running costs will be used for the benefit of our community following our charter.
