Looking up Saint Sophia Greek Orthodox cathedral -- festival there this weekend, my neighbor told me join them.
The church has a website, a pretty good one. Not the top result. Somehow this rather bothers me.
Perhaps I notice because when I was at Google working on rankings -- our "niche" was organic results for product searches. We made special effort to find the official page for a product when people searched for it -- and push it to #1 ahead of shopping aggregators or even reviews
Single example even if you think of religion as just another product (I don't) -- seems there could be better effort made to send people to the official page. Given that Google does know it -- but it's not Top-10 (!!) organic search results.
A small thing perhaps, but something I noticed. Heading over -- looks like it's a beautiful cathedral! 🇬🇷
Solid website, if not exactly modern in every way.
SEO is a two way street, between websites and Google. Always has been.
And yes, there are "shopping comparison" type results for religion, or certainly for churches. Might make sense in some denominations, but not orthodoxy! [I'm not Orthodox but know enough about it.]

He also talked a lot about microchips — both implanted in the brain (definitely early stage there) and specialized tech for the car. Don’t know about that one.
I’m not a Musk hater. Mostly a fan tbh. These are just facts.
There has been news, ups and downs, floor sweeps, FUD, and big-ish moves in the ETH:USD price. And yet, if you smooth it out even a little, prices have remained steady at around 69 ETH for entry-level Punks since December.
You can see this, in the graph for a pretty pedestrian category -- Male + Frumpy.
Floor jumps around a bit, sales go up and down. But apply any smoothing at all and hasn't moved a ton in ETH terms since December.
I tend to keep these thing private. Spoke to mom about Ukraine. Grandparents in Crimea (left Donbas years ago thankfully). She's worried will be hard to send them money, pay for nursing home, if Russia cut off from US banking system. My cousin also over there taking care of them.
Not telling anyone what to think, but there are real effects on normal people from "remove them from SWIFT already" reactions.
Nobody is more anti-Putin than my parents for what it's worth. Loyal Democrats too. Just saying.
Not sure I'd describe them as Ukrainian nationalists. But they opposed Crimean annexation -- which most of the population there supported I believe supported.
This matters, because we're going to see sentiment "to act," to "do something" stirred up not just by the mainstream media, but also by Twitter intellectuals, many of whom became Ukraine experts on Wikipedia this Tuesday. Hits different than the Covid stuff.
Just because the mainstream media is sure to wrongly report what happens, it doesn't mean the alternative media or the newly minted Ukraine experts on twitter are worth listening to either.
What is worth following if you really want to know what's going on? I would suggest there's some good primary sources. Lots of people in Ukraine posting videos, car dashcams, etc. I wasn't sure what was real at first but seeing channels with hundreds of such videos.
