Today marks one week since the war in Ukraine began.

Wars are horrible – they destroy homes, families, and entire nations.

But amidst the tragedy, there are always glimmers of hope that show the best of humanity.

Doctors told him that his leg would have to be amputated, and he would need chemotherapy to help treat the disease.
