O! Kasie had forgotten about her scent patches and she had forgotten to check the dates so now, she was trying to not show that she was being affected.

The young woman was still trying to fix the evidence for the team when Gibbs had walked into the lab. “Kasie…” Gibbs started but when he smelled the woman’s heat, he immediately went to wrap his arms around the woman, bathing her in his scent.

Gibbs had no intentions of mating with the woman but he knew that the others would, especially Bishop, Torres, and Knight.

Gibbs had a feeling that Jessica Knight would want to get with Kasie but he wanted to bathe the woman in his scent just to make sure that she’s safe.

“But Bishop, Knight and Torres.” Kasie frowned, knowing that they could smell her.

“If they can smell you right now, then they can smell your distressed scent. They wouldn’t want to hurt you.” Gibbs told her.

“They know that I am more than just an omega.” Kasie appreciated that about her coworkers.

“I’ll kick their asses if they ever treat you otherwise.” Gibbs said, making Kasie smile a little bit.

“There it is.” Gibbs let himself smile after he had caught sight of Kasie’s gentle smile.

“What?” She asked.

“That smile.” Gibbs said.

At first, Kasie was confused until she wasn’t anymore.

She knew exactly what Gibbs was talking about.

It was her carefree smile.

It was the smile that drew people in the most and Kasie knew that it was her most lovely smile.

She just didn't want to attract alphas towards her because of it.

If she wanted to attract anyone towards her, Kasie knew that she wanted to attract /friends/ towards her. She didn't want to attract any ego-driven alpha towards her.

"Kasie, you're distressed." Gibbs alerted her and Kasie cursed to herself as she was trying to keep herself from producing too much slick.

"I'm sorry." She apologized and Gibss looked at her, confused.

"You got nothing to apologize for. What's going on, Kasie?" Gibbs asked.

Kasie knew that this was the moment of truth.

"I don't want to be mated right now." Kasie said and Gibbs just smiled down at her.

"That's your right, Kasie. Hell, you don't even have to get a mate if you don't want one." Gibbs tells her and Kasie just grins at the support Gibbs was offering her.

"Thanks, Gibbs." Kasie said as the man was still bathing her in his scent but she understood why. Gibbs was like a dad to her and he didn't want anyone to hurt her and thus, Gibbs didn't mind scenting her.
