One aspect of @PlayCrabada breeding that is slept upon by many is breed type
Most don't even have a clue what it is and only know crabs by their class. Makes sense, since that is all that matters for the idle game
A quick lesson on breed type and why you should probably care π
In the Battle Game demo, launched months ago, it became obvious that each crab will have a unique ability in the Battle Game. The ability a crab has will be determined by its breed type
You can check a crab's breed type when you inspect it in your inventory or on the marketplace
A crab's stats in the current Idle Game are determined by its class & the number of matching pieces
6/6 pieces matching with class type will have the best stats. As a result, that is all that many have been blindly breeding for since day 1, completely ignoring breed type
Due to all the crabs bred purely to match class, there are not many crabs in the game that have many pieces matching their breed type, making them a rare commodity
At the same time, some shrewd crab investors are starting to think about the importance of breed type going forward
Why would DNA matching breed type be denoted in the same way as pieces matching class if breed type serves no purpose? (x/6) vs (y/18)
One of the most credible theories I have heard is that it will influence ability strength in the Battle Game. Higher match out of 18 = stronger
That theory makes the most sense to me, since it is also breed type that determines the type of ability after all
Note that none of this is officially confirmed, but I do believe it's worth taking into account, since there is a real chance that it will be relevant in the future
I think that in general many are still too focussed on the Idle Game. The Battle Game is the future of the game, and it is coming in only 3 weeks. Start planning!
Well then... how should it be taken into account for our crab portfolios?
For breeders I would suggest the approach I am taking personally:
Try to work towards 18/18 crabs. Keep the purest matches from breeding and sell the worst
As you can see in the earlier picture, I'm currently breeding towards 18/18 Lapidari gems myself
For speculators:
Just take it into consideration for crab prices and purchases. A pure crab with 9/18 breed count should be worth more $TUS than one with 0/18 imo, just based on the chance that it will be relevant to its future value
Hope I didn't ruin the game for those breeding & scooping high breed type matches from the market with this postπFelt like sharing some alphaπ¦
Interested to hear your thoughts. If anyone has any high breed matched crabs they'd like to sell or swap with me then hmu π #snibsnib

A π§΅about the current @PlayCrabada meta, the shaky $CRA & $TUS market and looting
I believe there is absolutely no reason to panic if you trust the team (which I do, they have delivered consistently from day 1) π¦
Strap in for a LONG one: my views on the meta and its history π
Looting and bots have been a highly debated topic on the Crabada discord the past few days
Looting has always been more profitable than mining or renting by design. It requires more effort, but since we're all in this to make money, many of us would like to loot
This has generally resulted in there being more looters (or potential looters) than miners at any given time. If at any time there would be open mines, people would start looting to earn a better ROI
A short timeline on looting, bots & how they created 'the meta':
People often ask me how to get into @PlayCrabada & if it's already too late.
The answer to the second question is fuck no. Main game hasn't even launched, subnet is coming, CONSTANT updates & new content.
For the first question, I'm starting a thread with a few strategies π¦β¬οΈ
I will update this thread over time with in depth explanations & calculations for each method.
The main ways to get some exposure to $CRA $TUS @PlayCrabada I'll go into will be the following: 1. The miner 2. The renter 3. The staker 4. The flipper
First up is the miner π
Quick calcs for 3 possible strats:
A team of pure bulks is the most profitable, and also the most chill, since you never lose and don't have to reinforce
