FWIW, this is MY Twitter account.

If it bothers you that my focus isn't enough on politics--that I veer into talking about TV shows, movies, pets, or Harry and Meghan--you're free to unfollow me. Don't comment on it 'cause you're not fucking paying me to be on Twitter.
You're free to argue with me about any of those topics, but don't tell me I shouldn't be talking about any of those things, or that you're not following me to hear about those things.
I don't fucking care.

I've taken abuse on Twitter, for free, for many years. No one tells me what the hell I'm allowed to talk about on here.
I can talk about Ukraine/Russia, US domestic policy, and about how Prince William is a douchebag all day long. Because this is my fucking Twitter account.

If you don't like it, hit "unfollow" or "block." Ain't no one stopping you.

Man, if you like Meghan Markle, the trolls come at you ALL DAY LONG.
(I didn't even say "I love Meghan Markle!"

Which, for the record, I do. I followed her on Instagram long before she dated Prince Harry and watched "Suits." I passed on all the yoga posts because I'm lazy AF, but I ended up with my own rescue Beagle.)
(Not inspired by her--a coincidence!)

All I did was say her brother-in-law was a douche for saying a super shitty thing, and now there are all these weird ass people on the internet accusing me of being anti-monarchy and anti-Cambridge n'at.

About the British monarchy... After Prince Harry left the UK, there were all these articles springing up in my Twitter timeline about how the monarchy couldn't survive it. /1
I kept thinking, "What the fuck is that all about? Why does Prince Harry need to be there for the monarchy to survive?"

Prince Charles managed to survive his disastrous marriage and other shit with very good PR and by being present and--to be fair--out-working everyone else. /2
But since Prince Harry has left, I realized something: Prince William is a fucking disaster. /3

Prince William's grandparents lived through WWII. He's supposedly going to be king of Northern Ireland one day, and they've definitely seen war and bloodshed during his lifetime.

I can't figure out if this comment is ignorant, racist, or both.
There was the Balkans. Kosovo. Georgia is partly in Europe.
Bosnia.

Agnes van Rhijn treats Peggy with respect and everyone else like they're grime under her fingernails. I find her relationship with Peggy fascinating because she has prejudices about literally everything else, and she talks down to everyone else. #TheGildedAgeHBO /1
It adds a layer to Agnes' character that keeps her from just being mean. She's resents that she had to marry an ol' bastard and has to take care of Ada, Marian, and her unworthy son. But Peggy is smart and self-sufficient--like her, but with better prospects. /2
It could just be that Agnes is grateful to finally have someone around that she doesn't have to micromanage, but I don't think that's where the show is going with it. /3

This would be a good time for Sweden and Finland to join NATO. Both countries fulfill all requirements.

If they don't want to be in it in a year or two, they can pull out. NATO is not a cult. /1
A few years ago, very important people people swore to me that Ukraine would never, ever be invaded. "It's not Georgia," they swore, even after Georgia and Crimea (a fucking part of Ukraine) had obviously been invaded. /2
"Ukraine is not even on Putin's map," I was told.

(Look into my Twitter history; I always thought Putin was 'on the map'.) /3

I voted for Obama in 2012, but I agreed with Romney that Putin was a massive geopolitical threat.

It's a credit to Senator Romney that he's not getting caught up in these political moments in 2022.

Dana Bash brought it up, but he quickly shoved it off as political rhetoric.
I wish I'd caught the moment on my phone because Romney's eyes almost rolled back in his head at the end of the clip.

I'm no fan of Romney's, but he seemed annoyed. He had 5 minutes to speak on Ukraine, and Dana Bash wasted 2 minutes of it with his debate with Obama.
And he quickly tried to distinguish between geopolitical threats and military threats, and then he tried to return to his original point.

Fucking Dana Bash.
