People want strong party with strong leader…. And for now people had no other choice.
Being from Punjab these are some of my personal views as a layman, may not go well with others here on SM and I may be wrong in analyzing too.

Please don’t take politics on emotional basis elections are fought practically and not on mere notions that what we think is correct!!
Laathi charge on students and teachers was also one of the factors…..teacher promise not fulfilled and was very much highlighted near the elections

Whenever a vote goes to AAP it's in fact a NOTA to the BJP and the @INCIndia . It's when people of a state are truly fed up with the major parties is when they don't mind trying an @AamAadmiParty . And AAP just waits patiently tapping on their doors from time to time
and waiting for that opportune moment to strike. When the frustration of the electorate reaches its peak is when they are willing to take a chance with AAP and the result is a tsunami of votes. गर्म लोहे पर हथौड़ा मारने की कला में माहिर हो गई है AAP.
