Earlier, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Zone H Commander, Dr. Segun Kolawole Oke, appreciated Mr. Governor for the support extended to the Agency and assured his host of a better working relationship with the State Government.
The Commander stressed that its command was formed by the NDLEA Boss, Brigadier-General Buba Maruwa (rtd) to further strengthen and oversee Lagos and Ogun State Command.
He, however, solicited for the State Government’s intervention in the areas of logistics to aid the zone for improved surveillance and investigation.

CHILD FOUND WITH DISPATCH RIDER NOT STOLEN - POLICE
On 11th March, 2022, a video of a dispatch rider accused of concealing a suspected stolen child in a courier box went viral on the social media, causing apprehension.
Although the incident was not reported at any police station, however, the Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alabi, fdc, mnim, psc, directed that the incident should be investigated immediately.
In compliance with the directive, investigation was initiated which led to the discovery of the scene. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the child was not stolen afterall and that he was not kept in the courier box as alleged by the mob.

This is to inform the general public and particularly assure the distraught family of Ms Ayanwole Oluwabamise, a 22-year-old lady who boarded a BRT bus in Lagos from Chevron bus stop, Lekki, heading to Oshodi on 26th February, 2022 at about 1900hrs & has not been seen till date.
As soon as the report got to the police, investigation into the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of the lady was immediately initiated.
The attention of the Lagos State Government has been drawn to a video showing kegs of petrol being handed out as souvenirs at an event Centre in Lagos. The video has gone viral on the social media.
There is no doubt that this action is dangerous and can lead to loss of lives and property. It is blatantly against all safety measures in such places.
The Lagos State Government through the Safety Commission @safety_lasg is investigating this matter and will ensure that all parties to this reprehensible action are made to account for it.
