1. שרשור פיגוע כביש החוף (אוטובוס הדמים) היום לפני 44 שנים. 11 במארס 1978
התוכנית המקורית של חוליית המחבלים שהפליגה ב-8 במארס 1978 ומנתה 13 איש [בהם מחבלת אחת] לנחות בתל אביב השתבשה בעקבות תנועת הספינה, ניסיונותיה להתחמק מספינות חיל הים, נקודת הפריקה לסירות ומשטר הים.
2. הים הסוער הקשה על סירות המחבלים. בשבת 11 במארס, בשעה 15:00-14:30 לערך, לאחר שייט קשה שבו אזל הדלק בסירות והמחבלים אף ניסו להסגיר עצמם באמצעות ירי באוויר, ולאחר ששניים מחברי החולייה טבעו בהתהפכות אחת הסירות כ-150 מ' מהחוף, נחתו 11 מהם בחוף מעגן מיכאל.
3. שלט של החברה להגנת הטבע בעברית היה מבחינתם סימן לכך שנחתו בישראל לאחר שהיו סבורים שנחתו בקפריסין. ליד בריכות הדגים של מעגן מיכאל נתקלו המחבלים בגייל רובין, צלמת טבע שישבה במכוניתה. לאחר שלמדו ממנה על מקום הימצאם, רצחו אותה ביריות והסתירו את גופתה.
