Russia striking convoys on Nato soil is serious escalation pathway, but major depots probably covered by air defences & Russia would need good intelligence to identify a specific convoy to strike with missiles. Use of aircraft with stand-off weapons possible but seems less likely
“SAMbush”: luring enemy planes into a place where they can be struck by surface-to-air missiles. Would not underestimate challenges and risks to Russia in trying to interdict arms convoys.
To be clear: Ryabkov just says convoys are legitimate targets. He does NOT say whether on Nato soil or in Ukraine. It is left ambiguous, and probably deliberately so. Russia’s aim is to heighten risk & perceptions of risk, to deter Western support to Ukraine.
