The genius in #KamalHaasan is synonymous with multiple tech enhancements brought by him in the Indian film industry.

Here are the two brought out in his latest #Vikram :

1st : Usage of #PhantomCam

a) It is the revolutionary ultra high speed camera where the FPS(frames per second) starts from 1000 and goes averaging upto 76000 FPS

b) Phantom products are leaders in the high-speed imaging industry

c) The Phantom Flex 4K cam costs range from about Rs.1 crore.

d) Renting a professional quality Phantom camera will about Rs.2 lakhs/- per day(seriously)

e) These cameras are widely used in a variety of defense, research & development appln, apart from few Hollywood movies.

f) Hollywood movies such as #Kingsman :The secret service..

...Transcendence and Guardians of the Galaxy were shot on this camera.

2nd :

Kamal Sir introduces the digital de-aging technology for the film. In a few sequences, #Ulaganayagan will be seen in a younger look and they used digital de-aging technology for the same.

1) Vikram (1986) - Computers were used to record songs for the first time in ‘Vikram’

2) #ThevarMagan (1992) - Script of Thevar Magan was completed in 7 days; it was the first written using a screenwriting software ‘Movie Magic’
This was the 1st time such s/w was used.

3) #Mahanadhi (1994) - is the first Indian film to use Avid editing software, and the film was critically acclaimed

4) #Kuruthipunal (1995) - was the first Tamil film to use Dolby Stereo surround SR technology

5) #Indian (1996) - Prosthetic makeup was used first time in Indian cinema to structure Kamal 'Senapathi' character

6) #Aalavandhan (2001) - 1st Indian film to use a motion control rig to capture the movement of pics. Also, this was the 1st to use the animation sequences

7) #Virumaandi (2004) - set an example. 'Virumaandi' was the first film to use the live sound recording system.

The Steinberg Nuendo digital audio workstation was used at the shooting spot. This movie went on to become an inspiration for several film makers too.

9) #Viswaroopam (2013) - the first Indian film to use the remarkable Auro 3D sound technology
