While the world wakes up to #KashmirFiles, here is the outright genocide denial that @AudreyTruschke & @simran peddles in their "Hindutva Field Harassment Manual"
Not just inaccurate, but cruel and evil on so many levels. Here's why...
1/
1️⃣ They say the genocide of Kashmir Pandits are a "false claims". This is no different than denying the Holocaust for Jews, and no less hateful. Moreover, no reference is provide for this statement except for a self-referential link.
2/
2️⃣They simply say 100K Pandits "left" the valley. "left" is a voluntary act like when someone"left" a boring movie. This is like saying Native Americans "left" their lands for White settlers. No mention they were FORCED through systematic death threats, killings & rape.
3/
3️⃣ Their whole language is victim-blaming, saying that Pandits had "privilege" & therefore oppressors who deserved their fate. This is the same language used by White supremacists against Jews claiming #JewPrivilege, or by Nazi's in the 30s to justify their final solution.
4/
⚠️ The words used here is very much intentional, and more importantly the words and facts they leave out. There is no room for misinterpretation.
The cabal behind this site are career academics who write papers and give talks for a living. Let's see who is behind this…
5/
2️⃣Next is @simran Director, Aspen Institute's Religion & Society Program who participates in genocide denial dismissing violence against Hindus as a "victimization narrative"
6/
3️⃣ Manan Ahmed (@sepoy), Associate Professor of South Asian History at @Columbia
4️⃣Ananya Chakravarti, associate professor in the Department of History at @GeorgetownColl
6️⃣ Supriya Gandhi, Professor of Religious Studies at @Yale
7️⃣Davesh Soneji , Professor of South Asia Studies at @Penn
8️⃣Dheepa Sundaram, Professor of Religious Studies at @UofDenver

Denying the well-documented cleansing of Hindus from Kashmir is insidious, especially coming from educated "scholars". Invalidating the lived experience of living Hindu survivors is beyond "academic dishonesty". It's hate for Hindus, pure and simple.
So what can be done?
9/
A. Write to the academic deans demanding their removal. Tell them what happened in Kashmir, and what these professor are denying and the lives they are erasing.
B. Amplify this thread by ❤️ or RT'ing.
10/
We can't undo the genocide of Kashmir Hindus in 1990, but we can stop these bigots from indoctrinating another generation. We owe it to the memory of the Hindus who were killed.
