oh look, 14 months after Biden took office (a 9 month inexplicable Democratic appointment delay followed by 5 months of Republican obstructionism dressed up as policy) the FCC gets closer to having a functional FCC that can actually do things

fiercewireless.com/wireless/senat…
figure several more months before she gets seated, then assuming the broader agency has the political backbone to do things like restore #netneutrality like they promised (which I'm still not 100% sure of), you enter the schlog of FCC procedure, which will take even longer
they really should have prioritized the appointment of Sohn with the same gusto they pursued Lina Khan, but because telecom policy has fallen out of favor under the myopic obsession with "big tech" you get this glacial shitshow
and of course because she's a woman AND a consumer advocate/anti-monopolist, Sohn gets to enjoy even greater GOP bad faith appointment obstructionism than usual

Hopefully Comcast didn't get to manchin and Sinema on this final confirmation vote, that would be grotesque

"DirecTV’s decision is clearly viewpoint discrimination and an attempt to silence conservative voices."

This is total gibberish. Nobody watched the channel AND it was a PR headache because it's comprised of conspiratorial bullshit.

everything about the modern GOP is performative victimization porn. OAN is chock full of harmful conspiratorial gibberish and is widely criticized because it's dogshit Image
OAN wasn't even profitable dogshit. Cable and news executives would air any inflammatory garbage they could find and get away with if it made money, but OAN saw like 14k daily viewers on a good day

the /realtesla subreddit is full of people suddenly forced to pay $17,000 because their battery failed, or sharing photos like this one of the shit build quality for purported luxury automobiles

of course if you post stuff like this in the regular tesla subreddit you'll get banned because cults don't like thinkin' and such

have a torn rotator cuff AND frozen shoulder and I would most definitely not recommend it
frozen shoulder is yet another one of these maladies doctors can't explain, yet it requires like 6-12 months of physical therapy to retain basic range of motion
for the first three months of February the pain was so severe I basically had my left arm tethered permanently to my side with a velcro brace

now I can at least make pathetic gestures with the arm like the mutant leader from total recall

the US press is going to fail so hard when the astroturfed super patriot freedom trucker convoy inevitably comes to the U.S.

it's just going to be wall to wall NYT/Politico puff pieces that somehow forget to mention this is all theatrical and unpopular partisan ratfucking
"we're not part of a highly coordinated, internationally funded, billionaire-backed effort to sow division, we're just good faith, red blooded american men who are super concerned about inflation"
it's just gobsmacking how bad the mainstream U.S. press (which is purportedly tasked with unearthing and disseminating truth) is at decoding and candidly debunking this kind of performative partisan astroturfing bullshit

it's going to get so stupid and I may have to tap out

hey just a heads up that out of financial necessity I'm pivoting from the consumer protection and tech/telecom policy beat to race-baiting contrarian trolling on substack and incoherent babbling about the NFT space I hope you'll all understand and please click to subscribe
I'm thinking maybe a combination of adorable kitten photos and blatant racism dressed up under the thin veneer of dudebro pseudo-intellectualism? I hear that's hot right now. I'm open to ideas.
I mean I don't want to wade TOO deeply into ONLY blatant contrarian pseudo-intellectual substack racism, as I don't want to scare off too many big corporations looking to leverage my reach to spread disinformation designed to crush reform and stall human progress

I guess people still don't know this despite 40 years of historical record, but the GOP is never going to vote when it matters in favor of meaningful antitrust reform. Not without dumb caveats that undermine the effort.

protocol.com/policy/antitru…
Like the idea that ted cruz and Marsha Blackburn in particular could give the slightest shit about antitrust reform and productively reining in corporate power is just absolute fantasy, and yet here we are
The only reason the GOP is even supporting these very narrow and problematic antitrust reform bills (that only focus on big tech and ignore telecom, banking, etc.) is they see it as a path toward some leverage in the quest to force them to carry race baiting propaganda
