1. To catch up I'll finally open a thread on Belarus-Kyiv axis of the 29th, 35th, + 36th Combined Arms Armies. Note I'll still cover Hostomel/Bucha/Irpin fighting in a separate thread. Day 1 Russian forces quickly took Chernobyl close to the Belarus border
2. Seems limited resistance before Chernobyl as UAF light forces withdrew +odd ambush. RuAF film shows some UAF losses. IMO only UAF Kozak-2s + BTR-70s in this film are Chernobyl captures. Others in film recorded elsewhere or BMPs filmed at unclear angle.

3. RuAF also moved beyond Chernobyl on 24th towards road hub of Ivankiv. They met resistance 1.5 km north of town at 50.9649823, 29.9106049 h/t @DefMon3. Rosgvardia shelter behind a RKhM Kashalot NBC recce vehicle, likely used in passage through Chernobyl.
4. As RuAF approached Ivankiv (tweet 3) UAF resistance stiffened including with armour. Here at least two UAF T-64s, 3x BMP-1s + troops with NLAW move to block ring road NW of Ivankiv at 50.951198, 29.880357. Vehicles burn ahead but unclear if UAF or RuAF.
5. A second enlarged film of same location in twt 4, shows 3 vehicles burning at the ring road junction NW of Ivankiv. Seems three more trucks are abandoned. There is a UAF T-64BV and a BMP-1 which fires and moves. Seems UAF hold the junction at this point
6. A later film at same location shown in twt 4 + 5 shows some of the RuAF losses from the battle at this junction north west of Ivankiv. In the background: BTR-80 (probably), 3 burnt out trucks, an abandoned/damaged Ural and a seemingly abandoned KamAZ.
7. On 25/02/22, UAF destroyed a key bridge in Ivankiv on the Teteriv River. RuAF forces nevertheless bypassed Ivankiv continuing to Kyiv. RuAF entered Ivankiv on 26th but fighting continued in or around for a week. Here some 5th Guards Tank Brigade losses.
8. Meanwhile to NW of Ivankiv elements of 29th Combined Army Army followed later. Its believed they will guard west flank of push to Kyiv.

9. The camouflaged Buk air defence system in tweet 8 is probably guarding this pontoon bridge shown in the film 500 meters to south. Its there as the UAF blew the bridge over the river Uzh also in the film, just west at 51.247799, 29.400913 h/t @AKMcKeever
10. I guess the bridge in twt 8 might be targeted by air or artillery. But if UAF was to go sneaky on it, be aware there is a BMP-1 + squad from 69 Covering Brigade at 51.253337, 29.404691 also T-72B3 nearby h/t @azyakancokkacan

For a few days 'Peaky Blinders' UAV team of🇺🇦NGU 2nd unit, Special Purpose Center OMEGA have reported that the🇷🇺offensive stalled [in parts of Sth Donetsk].
They claim that drones stop 80% of attacks, exampling this with 19 KIA they claim from yesterday alone. Image

1.🇷🇺155th Naval Infantry Bde POWs captured in Kursk Oblast
First 2 POWs from the 155th. I'm not sure if this will turn into a thread or not, considering the recent infamy the 155th brought on itself with🇺🇦POW executions.
English subs. They say they were waiting for Akhmat forces.
2.🇷🇺155th Naval Infantry Bde POWs captured in Kursk Oblast.
After a wait and many recent films of KIA from the infamous 155th, this finally turns into a POW thread.
UAF 47th Mech Bde report the capture of an assistant grenade launcher from the 155th, who reportedly witnessed the execution of 2🇺🇦POWs near Glushkovo at the end of September.
Allegedly the order for the execution of the🇺🇦POWs and the subsequent removal of their heads came from commander of the unit. Reportedly this POW has also named the direct perpetrators of this war crime.

3.🇷🇺155th Naval Infantry Bde POWs captured in Kursk Oblast.
Two new 155th POWs films. This POW from its 1st Batt 2nd Company was captured near Novoivanovka.
He says they arrived at a grove of trees and heard intense fighting. They heard that the nearby Akhmat commander 'Kapitan' was surrendering. Feeling scared they decided to run. Akhmat remnants had already fled, with one killed by MG fire on the way back. When they reached their old position UAF captured them.
He also says that their company commander ordered them to cut off the heads of captured Ukrainians and film it, as well as to shoot their own in the back if they started to retreat.

1-8. Mykhailivka railway bridge battles.
30.08, a reported tank from🇺🇦15th Brigade of Operational Assignment 'Kara-Dag' destroys a🇷🇺BTR-82AT while🇷🇺infantry are engaged from the SW.
Maybe an AT mine or shell, as the hit is out of the LOS of tank in tweet 4.
2-8. Mykhailivka railway bridge battles, Approx 30.08.
While the🇷🇺BTR-82AT destroyed in tweet 1 still burns 🇺🇦15th Brigade of Operational Assignment 'Kara-Dag' shows 3🇷🇺infantry casualties. One sits, perhaps with stomach wounds, 1 moves his foot, the last seems still. We will see them closer in the next tweet.

SW of Avdiivka, 23.08.23.
Must watch. Intense combat scenes as the recce Company of🇺🇦59th Motorised Brigade (made up of Ukrainians + foreign volunteers) storm RuAF positions on height 105-106.
They succeed, inflicting 22 KIA + 2 POWs on the RuAF, for the loss of 2 WIA + a HMMWV.
A link to full HD version film, with a 2nd part analysing the battle with English subs.
The foreign volunteers are reportedly from America, Canada, Sweden and Japan - from the well-known 'Chosen Company' of the 59th.
I also hear Irish, English and Aussie or Kiwi accents in the film.

Caveat on the location: Yes its SW of Avdivka, but more accurate to say its between Pervomaiske and Nevelske.

1. New Thread/Oleshky
Rybar reports on evening 16 OCT 4 groups from🇺🇦35th + 36th Marine brigades + 140 Recce Batt landed at the small UAF bridgehead south the destroyed railway bridge over the Dnipro; aim to advance on Oleshky, Pishchanivka + Poima.
Further on 17 OCT p.m. the marines broke through and captured Poima. After receiving reinforcements they reached the northern outskirts of Pishchanivka (as reported by Rybar tonight).
Rybar also reports UAF preparations for several more crossings aimed at taking Pidstepne and Kozachi Laheri further to the north east.

🇷🇺TG has for weeks picked up that🇺🇦marine units were concentrating so should not be a surprise.
Also 36th Marine Bde's 501 Batt has just conducted a FPV strike in Poima on a UAZ-452.
If Rybar's map is correct this area is now UAF.

3. Released 18/10,🇷🇺8th Arti Regt shell near both sides of small railway bridge over Verknya Konka River (46.663158, 32.804279 geo in link).
This is the only evidence so far that UAF are near Poima + so far no suggestion of larger crossing beyond a raid.

Robotyne.
Last night I was informed by a🇺🇦 source that Robotyne was liberated. Clarification this morning: it occured after 'a small battle at night at the checkpoint at the southern part'. This morning I received confirmation from a seperate source from the area. (Some Ru commentary say similar - see in link). Film illustrative but recent - likely from the east side of Robotyne.
2. As mentioned in the tweet above the film I used illustratively is from the east side of the village. Here is the geolocation. Hopefully some Ukrainian film or pics from the south of the village will come soon.
3. Robotyne.
Recent fighting in the center + south of Robotyne. At least two UAF AFVs, (look like Bradleys to me), 'jockey' as they put down suppressive fire around the shop opposite the house of culture. Later they lay smoke with RuAF arti reported.
