So you want to buy $RUNE but don't know where to start? I've got you! I went through the @thorswap & @thorchain learning curve so you don't have to 🤓
Quick thread on how to purchase native $RUNE using a @ledger
Not financial advice. DYOR! 🧵 👇

What you'll need:
-A ledger
-2 wallets: 1) THOR wallet app on ledger (download this now on Ledger Live!) 2) Second wallet w/ your choice crypto to swap for $RUNE. I used $ETH on my @MetaMask, however can also use native $BTC, etc.
3/
-Navigate to THORSwap: app.thorswap.finance
-Click "Wallet" from the menu dropdown on the lefthand side.
-Click "Connect" in the upper-right hand corner.
4/
-1st connect to your non-THOR wallet, in this ex. I use $ETH/@MetaMask & connect normally.
-Important 🚨 Switch to the THORChain app in your ledger before the next step.
-Click "Thorchain” select "THOR" complete the steps to connect.
-You should now see two wallets connected.
5/ -Navigate back to our trusty sidebar on the left and click "Swap." A recipient address will now populate for your THOR wallet.
-Important 🚨 In your ledger, switch back to the app you are using to swap (again, I used $ETH, some might be using $BTC).
6/ -Now, the fun part! SWAP! Confirm the transaction in your wallet.
-Once confirmed, you will see the swap in the upper righthand corner.
-Navigate back to "Wallet" on the sidebar and you will see your $RUNE balance.
Congrats, you now hold native $RUNE!
🥳 🎉👏

But wait!💡Why should I go through all this trouble when I can buy $RUNE on @cryptocom you ask?
Nice try, anon! ERC-20 & BEP 2 $RUNE has no utility & will be deprecated with the THORChain mainnet launch 😵 (see linked Medium article)
