@thetimes literally just forced a political statement onto these cosmonauts, they've worn this uniform before lmao
@thetimes what does @thetimes think? that these guys custom ordered a war protest space suit that was (somehow) accepted by the government-affiliated contractor/office who makes the suits and then (somehow) made, shipped, and set in their kit in TWO WEEKS????
@thetimes 2017! Same guy! Same suit! It is OBVIOUSLY a part of their standard uniform.
this is actually insidious lmao
@thetimes has put them in a position of either denouncing the message and becoming pariahs in the international community -- or not, and becoming pariahs at home/professionally.
they are *scientists* on a nonpartisan mission.
Reminder that Ukrainian Media tried to pass off a Syrian child from 2018 as a Ukrainian child from this conflict. They even lightened the child's skin and hair.
Twitter slapped a warning on my tweet, despite just being two screenshots:
.@EuromaidanPR you have no less than 3 images from other conflicts you are trying to pass off as being Ukraine I saw in just a quick 5 second glance at your feed.
absolutely fucking embarrassing.
.@EuromaidanPR did you actually lighten this baby's hair and skin?
the only reason why you suddenly care about Ukraine is because the media suddenly cares about Ukraine.
now tell me: why does the media suddenly care about Ukraine when similar conflicts have been happening elsewhere in the world in 𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲?
there is nothing wrong with caring about civilian lives lost in conflict.
the problem is that you can't critically interrogate why every outlet, corporation, and bank suddenly gives a shit about a conflict when they've never given a shit about any other ever before lmao
Yemen has been experiencing sustained carpet bombing of civilian areas for over 2,000 fucking days by US and UK-backed and funded forces.
did you give a shit? did you even know? did Visa or Mastercard pull out the US or UAE? what about Pepsi?
a girl claiming she is being forced to transition because she is a member of a "dissociative identity disorder system" and all of her 30 "headmates" are men.
there is a lot to unpack here.
needless to say: this is not how dissociative disorder presents. DID is a VERY rare, professionally contested diagnosis which stems from extreme trauma and/or brain injury. It is primarily characterized by total memory blackouts. People with DID often have no idea they have DID.
people on TikTok claiming to have dissociative identity disorder are mostly just yaoi-obsessed teen girls writing extremely complex fanfictions about themselves.
