Both @thetimes and the @guardian published articles today claiming Russian cosmonauts, in a display of great bravery, chose to wear the Ukrainian colors to protest the war. Read this thread and decide if it’s true.
You can now read the story about how the Russian cosmonauts dressed up in the colors of Ukraine to protest the war, in Portuguese, in Brazil's largest corporate outlet, @JornalOGlobo.
It's kind of amazing to just watch it spread all over the world:
Ukraine's President Zelensky suspends 11 opposition parties, using the same rationale Putin invokes when doing so: they're subversive, with ties to foreign enemies. One of the parties has 10% of elected seats in Ukraine's parliament:
This is a great, nuanced article by @arisroussinos on serious neo-Nazism in Ukraine's military. It's false to say Ukraine is run by Nazis, worse to claim it justifies Russia's invasion. But the West is radically and dangerously minimizing their power:
As Roussinos writes: Europe "has many extreme Right-wing groups, but only in Ukraine do they possess their own tank and artillery units, with the state’s support." @fbfsubstack adds vital nuance. Russia's claims are false, but the West's erasure also is:
It's unfortunate that the @NYPost is one of the few large US outlets willing to hold accountable the cretins in the US security state for the lies they told about the Biden emails being "Russian disinformation" - designed to manipulate the 2020 election - but that's our reality:
These "former intelligence officials" - trained career disinformation agents, who were supposed to manipulate other countries' politics, not the US's - have the same contempt for the public as the media outlets they command: refuse to admit their lies:
Here's a great breakdown from @vanguard_pod -- one of the best and most honest left-wing shows on the internet -- about the role played by @theintercept's editors in spreading the CIA's "Russian disinformation" line, and how @TheYoungTurks supported them:
A Brazilian Supreme Court justice today banned the secure app Telegram from operating in all of Brazil, citing its failure to obey prior court orders to ban users from the platform and asserting the prevalence on Telegram of hate speech and disinformation
(To be clear, by "secure app" I was just referring to its claims of encryption. @Snowden and others have said it's not safe - Signal is way better - and our Brazil exposés were enabled by hacks into Telegram. Was just emphasizing the ruling's severity).👇
1/ On Thursday, a Brazilian Supreme Court judge banned the app Telegram *for all of Brazil*, arguing it's used for hate speech and disinformation and hasn't obeyed prior banning orders.
Huge swaths of the political/media class *cheered* this, especially corporate journalists.
It's been 24 hours since the NYT acknowledged the reported emails from the Biden laptop were authentic, as was the NY Post's story on how they obtained it.
*None* of the media outlets that spread the CIA's "Russian disinformation" lie has admitted what they did or retracted it👇
Besides Jen Psaki, one of the most aggressive spreaders of this CIA lie -- unsurprisingly -- former Obama national security aide @brhodes. He just emphatically asserted this lie over and over with no caveats:
Below, @tomselliott collects many - nowhere near all - of the media and political elites who spread the CIA lie over and over. Not a single one has acknowledged error let alone wrongdoing. They know they don't need to: liberal readers *want* them to lie.
VÍDEO: Sergio Moro é Corrupto Sim e Quer Me Censurar
