I know there was a ton going on last week in D.C. and in Lansing, but buried in all that news was a critical item: Republicans in the Michigan Senate took an awful procedural vote that protected big drug companies’ interests — at the expense of Michiganders. (1/5)
Did you know that Michigan is the only state in the entire country that protects pharmaceutical companies from any kind of lawsuit if the products they make cause serious harm or death? The only one. (2/5)
That means that Michiganders are unable to legally hold these corporations accountable when their drugs cause destruction in our communities. (3/5)
Both Democratic and Republican-led states know it’s crazy to shield big companies from a citizen who became disabled from a bag drug, or who got addicted to drugs that were supposedly not addictive. (4/5)

As a former CIA officer, I never thought I'd see the day when the Commander in Chief would side with Russia over his own Intelligence and Law Enforcement Community.
The President's words at his press conference stand in complete contrast to the facts and contravene his basic responsibility to protect our country from all threats, foreign and domestic.
His own Director of National Intelligence reiterated today, 'We have been clear in our assessments of Russian meddling in the 2016 election and their ongoing, pervasive efforts to undermine our democracy.'
