@SecretNetwork has huge potential, here is a breakdown on different ways of buying $scrt and getting your @keplrwallet running...so you can participate in network descentralization & security, while also getting exposure on upcoming airdrops.
4/Breaking it down:
1-Buy on any exchange and the withdraw your $scrt tokens.
-Worth mentioning, is that withdrawals to keplr or other wallets don´t need memo address, you only need MEMO when depositing to CEX wallets.
5/-Also last time i checked, @binance had lower withdrawal fees than @gate_io
-You can get your SN address by changing to SN on keplr, then clicking "deposit" to get the QR and scan it with your CEX mobile app.
6/-...or just click it (it will automatically copy), the address is usually below your "custom wallet name", it should start with "secret........".
7/-So on @osmosis, I´ll leave the next link (by lavender.five) that explains all the process in detailed steps. medium.com/@lavenderfive/…
And this video tutorial (they have a lot more tutorials, check them out), by @secretcodepod
12/So staking is currently earning 24.46% anually (according to keplr). So is a great yield, even though you can get higher yields in dex pools, but probably limited airdrops.
Take into account:
-You can only redelegate every 21 days.
-Unbonding period of 21 days also.
Things to take into account when choosing where to deligate your tokens are:
-Uptime
-Active Governance participation
-Commision (0% nodes are not advisable)
-Smaller nodes
-Nodes that are community contributors
15/Best practices for staking & and maximize airdrops possibilities?
So SN incentivizes descentralization, so in $shd airdrop they took into account some principles that are worthy of revisiting (even though $shd snapshot already over) these criteria for $scrt stakers were:
16/ A-"Exchange validators...will be automatically blacklisted on all networks", so don´t delegate with these or you risk airdrop probabilities.
B-"DEX LP staking is not included in the airdrop on any network".
17/ C-"Stake outside of the top 10 nodes of SCRT...", this is because of descentralization efforts.
D-"Do not stake with 0% commission based nodes inside of the top 25 validators", because this could be done for malicious reasons, undermining network security. So avoid this.
18/Why am I talking about these old criteria? Because @Shade_Protocol is deeply enrooted to SN, so I wouldn´t be surprised if these criteria continue to be very present in the next airdrops.
19/ That´s all for buying & staking, not the most entertaining thread jaja but needed to clear the basics for next one: Airdrop season on Secret Network!!! @FOMOcraft
+ @ObscureFinance
+ @StakeEasy
@SecretNetwork#Airdrop season is upon us, so lets go over all the airdrops that I know of on Secret Network.
A 🧵 to hopefully catch all of them & even get bonus airdrops....
1/ For groundfloor knowledge on acquiring & staking $scrt check my previous thread, where we dive into:
-Buying $scrt
-Staking $scrt and practices to optimizing airdrop chances.
Good morning, so here is my first $scrt thread (probably first of two or three). Big fan of the project and ethos around it, let´s take a first look 🧵...
1/What is secret network
Secret network is a L1 blockchain that uses proof of stake (PoS) consensus algorithm, built by @cosmos SDK (software development kit). Making it part of the broader interconnected cosmos ecosystem, by IBC (inter blockchain comunication protocol).
2/@SecretNetwork, as it names suggests, leverages privacy for its users and its use cases. So, like ethereum, it can run smart contracts, in a trustless and permisionless manner.
