Contributing to Crypto can be hard without the right skills.

But anyone can do it — you don't need to know how to code.

My 12 "no-code" value add skills:

[🧵 thread]
1/ Write Protocol Explanations

It's a bear market, so we're seeing less and less protocols.

But developers write code and not articles.

So there's a massive market for protocol explanations.

And an even bigger opportunity to earn from condensing it into digestable articles.
2/ Podcast Summaries

There are so many Crypto podcasts out there.

But there's even more people who don't have the time nor energy to listen to them all.

So save them time by summarizing episodes for them.

Those posts tend get shared frequently and might even go viral.

10 of the biggest hacks in 2022 Crypto, that we shouldn't forget:

(and some lessons for the future)
/1 @cryptocom - January 17, $35 million

A hacker disabled two-factor authentication on the crypto exchange.

Customer funds were lost - 4,836 ETH and 443 bitcoin were taken.

Although all affected customers were fully reimbursed for the losses.
/2 Qubit - January 27, $80 million

Hackers stole 206,809 Binance Coin from Qubit's QBridge protocol via a smart contract bug.

The assets were valued at more than $80 million at the time.

Developers were forced to rebrand as a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO).

The key to successful DeFi:

Real Yield.

Knowing where the yield comes from will help you find the hidden gems in DeFi.

Here’s the step-by-step guide if you don’t know where to start:
Most DeFi users know nothing about where their yield is coming from.

“If you don’t know where the yield comes from, then you are the yield”.

This is not how DeFi should work.
The history of Yield Farming goes back to June 2020.

The 2017-era ICOs led to rounds with large token distributions to private investors.

Retail investors felt the true pain of being used for exit liquidity.

Liquidity mining (LM) was an attempt to even the playing field.

I asked, “What is the ONE piece of advice that you wish you knew before the bear market?”

I received 40+ responses.

Here are 9 tips you should read and reread:
/1

Learn how to differentiate between forced hype and real market sentiment.

If you're reasonably smart - you'll be able to tell this from Discord/Twitter & following honest, smart people.

It's difficult to do - but it's worth it.
/2

Avoid staking tokens unless you truly believe in them.

A 10% APY isn't worth it, if the token is crashing to 0 and your tokens are locked up.

It's better to recover some money than nothing at all (h/t Luna).

8 frameworks that will help you understand the new creator economy better:

🧵
1. Ownership

Identity and self expression were the first things humans ever owned.

We then began to exchange goods in the absence of money and a central bank.

Ownership has now evolved further beyond Web 2 with the introduction of NFTs and DAOs.
2. Stakeholder Incentives

Fans in the current creator system are passive consumers of products and narratives.

They don’t have any governance.

If they want to make a targeted bet on an artist like Kanye West— it would involve them betting on the multiple companies he owns.
