Many have been exposed during the process of #NoConfidence move against PMIK but none more so than the hypocritical Chaudhries of Gujrat.

An objective pol analysis of their role in this effort would lead us to conclude that this may just end their politics for good.

Those who belong to Gujrat know this family operates like a local mafia, with Shujaat Hussain as overall Don of the family, Pervez Elahi as the political face & an armed militia of gangsters under the command of their younger brother Wajahat Hussain called the Wajahat Force.

Just like the Sharifs & Zardaris, Chaudhries of Gujrat own Sugar Mills, Flour Mills, Agricultural enterprises, Real Estate worth billions in Pakistan as well as UK & Europe.

They’re just as financially corrupt & involved in crimes of money laundering as Sharifs & Zardaris.

This notorious family also provides patronage to largest human smuggling network in the world based out of Gujrat, consisting of 1000s of travel agents, smugglers, estate agents & foreign embassy employees who’ve smuggled millions of Pakistani, Afghans, etc into UK & Europe.

Chaudhry brothers are smooth operators who’ve been running a
masterful perception management operation to build a public image of them being respectable politicians of integrity & honour.

Whereas, a look at their political history reveals a completely opposite portrayal.

Their politics over past few decades have always revolved around stabbing their benefactors in the back. They’ve been hypocrites, opportunists, financially corrupt & have always been the first to jump ship whenever their political allies needed & expected solidarity from’em.

Let’s start from Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain being made Minister of Industry (which he used to gain interests in wide variety of industries) by Junejo as PM, but when Sharif betrayed Junejo to steal PML from him, Chaudries stabbed Junejo in the back & joined Nawaz Sharif’s PML.

They gained more political, & financial power with Shujaat Hussain becoming Interior Minister of both Sharif govts.

But when Musharraf staged the Coup in 1999, they stabbed the Sharifs in the back and joined Musharraf’s political setup & stole most PMLN members to form PMLQ.

It wouldn’t be far fetched to state that one of the major reasons for reforms introduced by Musharraf during initial 3 years of his coming to power were the Chaudhries of Gujrat, who sabotaged most of his reforms as NAB, to gather savory characters into Musharraf’s pol setup.

Musharraf govt’s first 3 yr efforts at reforms such Police, electoral, accountability, social reforms, etc were undermined by Chaudhries coming to power in the later 5yrs of his govt.
NAB effectiveness was neutralized when it began closing in on Chaudhries & their henchmen.

When Musharraf was ousted from power by Asif Ali Zardari then the Chaudhries stabbed Musharraf in the back & joined Asif Ali Zardari with Pervez Elahi even becoming Deputy PM in the PPP govt despite Benazir having nominated him as a suspect in case she was assassinated.

When Imran Khan’s political star gained ascent in 2018 then clever Chaudries spurred overtures from PPP & jumped into an alliance with PTI in elections.

Just as it was a political blunder for Musharraf to rely on them as allies, it was a blunder for PTI to rely on them.

As Musharraf’s political reliance on Chaudhries of Gujrat made’em a political power, PTI’s alliance help them make a comeback after PMLN wrested its members back after 2008.

Now they’re afraid that accountability process started by IK would eventually catch-up with them.

Again, they’re dying to stab IK in the back to join the alliance of corrupt & opportunistic political forces being rallied by Sharifs, Zardaris & their smaller allies.

Therefore, it’s no surprise to hear recent PMLQ’s lame political reasonings for joining the anti IK move.

In the recent interviews Chaudhry Pervez Elahi didn’t utter a word on national interests, political loyalties, preventing instability or prosperity of the country.

Instead all he seemed was consummately perturbed over his own & his hypocritical family’s political interests.

Let’s analyze why this move by them may end up destroying their political careers for good:

Only way they’d leave PTI’s govt is if PMLN awards them CM seat in Punjab, which they’d use to inflict max pol damage at PMLN & PTI, otherwise their future elec chances are doomed.

Hence, why would the PMLN take this step?

This would mean that in an effort to remove Buzdar (whose weak personality/rule suits them in Punjab) & place a formidable political predator in his place?

It’s almost impossible for Sharifs to take this suicidal step.

Guarantor of this agreement is supposedly Asif Zardari, whose own credibility in minds of Sharifs is even less than Chaudhries of Gujrat.

Zardari reneged on a public agreement signed at a summit with Nawaz Sharif by claiming “it’s not a Hadees” which he can never forget.

By accepting Pervez Elahi as CM Punjab, Nawaz Sharif would be freeing up Shahbaz Sharif to target the office of PM as result of this move.

Remember Nawaz Sharif refused to accept SS as PM when his own party had a majority in NA ‘cause it’d threaten Maryam’s pol future.

NS would resist such a move again, which goes to benefit Shahbaz Sharif against corruption cases but does little for Nawaz & Maryam.

To removing IK from power by allying with PMLQ, not only would NS allow PMLN pol in Punjab to be undermined but also Maryam’s pol future.

Which brings us to the conclusion that Chaudhries of Gujrat may not get their chance at stabbing PMIK in the back after all.

But they’ve now come out publicly in opp to IK’s leadership, his policies as Health Card etc & accused IK of using accountability as political tool.

It has destroyed any credibility Chaudries of Gujrat had with PTI’s base or PTI leadership, especially in the mind of PM Imran Khan himself.

This may result in PTI snubbing PMLQ in any future elections & PTI grassroots worker would go after PMLQ campaigns with a vengeance.

In this scenario PMLQ would stand isolated in coming elec contests in Punjab not only from PMLN but also from PTI & having PPP as ally would bring’em no laurels from voters.

Hence, this too clever to succeed political move by Chaudhries may just end their politics for good.
