The Russian ruble is at its high point against the dollar from the last 30 days, and close to its high point from the last year: substantially recovered, at least for now, from its post-invasion collapse:
In light of the resurgence of the Russian ruble, we unlocked this freelance report from Russia-based @DimitriASimes on how Western sanctions may not just fail, but have the opposite effect of their stated goals. Really well-reported and well-analyzed:
If you go back and look at what most corporate media outlets did right before the election as we did for this video - outright lying by spreading the CIA tale that the emails were "Russian disinformation" - you can't overstate how corrupt and deceitful they were on purpose. CNN:
CNN was far from the only outlet telling Americans -- over and over -- to ignore the evidence about Joe Biden's activities in Ukraine and China because they were forged by Russia. Most liberal digital outlets spread this lie over and over: a gigantic disinformation scheme:
The corrupt Brazilian judge and former Justice Minister who found Lula guilty only to have it overturned when the Sup Ct found him guilty of partiality in the trial, @SF_Moro, has run to a local judge now twice to demand Twitter delete my tweets critical of him as "corrupt."
Most amazing: Moro is now a presidential candidate (one mired in third, way behind Lula and Bolsonaro, but still). Twitter has refused to obey the order (which somehow includes my YouTube video assembling the evidence), but it shows how normalized online censorship has become.
Imagine running for president of a major country, then devoting huge amounts of your time and resources to having a local judge censor a journalist. He's using the massive profit he earned by working for a US-based consultancy that represents the huge companies he investigated.
Most of these details were reported and confirmed in several outlets *before* the 2020 election -- as opposed to now when it's safe to say it -- but they were censored by Twitter and FB based on the CIA lie spread by most corporate outlets that it was "Russian disinformation."
Just fucking amazing: now the WashPost, 10 days after NYT, admits that the contents of the Hunter Biden laptop are genuine and uses them in their reporting.
Yet **not one** corrupt outlet that spread the CIA's pre-election lie that it was "Russian disinformation" has retracted.
The WPost article -- like the NYT one 10 days ago -- states over and over they verified the key emails from the Biden archive. Many liberal outlets lied and said these emails were forged by Russia. @theintercept's partisan editors blocked me from reporting them based on this lie.
The NYT reports on the explosive growth of @RumbleVideo. Contrary to media narratives, Rumble is not associated with any ideology. Founded in 2013 and still run by a Canadian liberal, its only agenda is free discourse and liberation from Big Tech control:
That Rumble - with other free speech platforms: Substack & @GetCallin - are growing so fast is single-handedly destroying Big Tech censorship schemes. Read the head of the DNC arm Media Matters whining that their work to force FB and Google to censor for them is being destroyed.
Any time a new platform grows to compete with corporate media and, more so, that they cannot control and force to censor, of course media will malign them. Here, the NYT makes clear the real philosophy of Rumble: to trust citizens, not FB & Google, to decide what we hear.
As grave of a threat as deliberate war is, unintended escalation from miscommunication and misperception can be as bad. The Bulletin of Atomic Scientists has been warning of this danger between Russia and the US for years.
An addled Biden is the perfect vessel for such risks.
The central question for Americans from the start was what role, if any, should the US Govt play in this war? With what motives? And *why* should the US risk war over Ukraine?
These were the questions deemed unpatriotic and disloyal, handing Washington free rein to escalate.
