This essentially means the left, Labour & Greens have no national media platform from which to challenge govt besides the thin gruel of #PMQs on a Wednesday & social media, which is also dominated by RW voices with paid amplification. So, right now, Britain is more or less... 3/6
a one party state. The fact Johnson's govt has disrespected parliamentary rules, corruption laws & the responsibilities of govt to keep the British people safe is bad enough. That there are now few avenues by which he can be 'democratically' removed should chill the blood... 4/6
of every decent person in the country. By hook or by crook it's essential that right-wing power-brokers are removed from public service broadcasting & that the left & greens get savvy about social media & populism from an oppositional standpoint. 5/6
Folk in broadcasting are going to have to use every lever to counterbalance what's now a skewed hard-right, upper-class UK media. 'The brightest & best' are as often found among the working & lower middle classes as among the toffs. Hire them. Especially the green/left. 6/6
