Ok, this isn't the kind of thing I would do, but I'm deleting the Konami post (and backing it up fully below). I would usually NEVER delete a post when "wrong", however in this case, its an exception, and let me explain why...

Over the last barely 24 hours, I've had nothing but abuse. I've had multiple death threats. I've had one person send me pictures of DEAD CHILDREN, telling me it would happen to my daughter for being wrong. I've had multiple hack attempts at my social media. Oh, it goes on.

I've had DM's and private messages here, and on my other sites, explaining how they know people in Telford who will "do me in" (lol). I've had websites insult me. Forums attack me whole sale. I've had people insult my wife. My child. My work. My books...

And all because I posted what my friends and I were TALKING and THINKING about. Not definitive. Not an insider. Not somebody working at Sony. THINKING. If I was wrong about technology (which I have been) the post would stay up whole. But in this case? I'm pulling it.

I apologise to those who thought it was a legit "scoop". To be fair, a lot of actual insiders are saying the same as what I am. Use them as your scape goat. And, learning from this, I will try and make it more clear in future when I'm posting "my thoughts".

However, once again, I'm absolutely disgusted at a certain area of the internet and how low they will go, and I'm absolutely disgusted at a certain fanbase. You sent me pictures of DEAD CHILDREN. Are you absolutely mental? Over THIS?

You can message me, and DM me. But right now, I'm just taking a break from here. I'm actually shocked and appalled at the depths some of you will go to because of video games. The right people have been reported where I could, and I may take this matter further with police even.

In closing I again apologise to any who read my post wrong. But more so I apologise to those who got caught up in what others were saying and didn't know the full story.

I think a lot of you are pathetic people though and need to do some real growing up. It's not acceptable.

EDIT: I'm also adding this. These are a select few, not all, a FEW, of the delights I've had to deal with over different platforms and multiple accounts. But for now, I'm going to take a few days away from here and will be back for Tuesdays Lego Star Wars goodness. Thanks all.

Thankfully, I know where the majority of these come from, and will be fixing the issue over the weekend. All IP Logged too, and where I can, all have been reported or passed along. A few I may pass to the police however.

Lastly I want to make it clear I in no way think Gaf/anywhere else is responsible for these. I have a lot of friends there in fact. But there certainly are a few characters there that could do with being removed user wise.
