The woman escaped, the son still does not know that his father is killed. The Russians hold a gun at the woman's had and told her "your husband was a Nazi", she told media. This reminds the Russian narrative on "just rapes" on German women in 1945.

In Mariupol, a woman was raped for several days (!) by Russian soldiers, her 6 years old son was in the same room. The woman died on injuries.

I do not share here reports on social networks regarding 9 or 12 y.o. girls raped by Russians. I believe they can be very true, but I do not have reliable sources, so I do not report on them. Well, many will ask, is this all a surprise, or was it possible to foresee this terror?

Unfortunately, it was clear all the time, this will happen. Mass rape belong to Russian military doctrine as a part of suppression of any resistance and providing own soldiers with "bonuses". Sexualised violence was used by modern Russian army in Chechnya, in Ukraine and in CAR.

(I do not write here on sexualised violence in 1945 in Germany, to focus on the modern Russian army and on the officers who are STILL in charge). Well, one of the most famous cases of rape and murder is Elsa Kungayeva case from Chechnya.

On March 27th 2000, Russian colonel Yuri Budanov has kidnapped 18 y.o. Elsa from her house in Tangi village in Chechnya, raped and tortured her, and killed after. The spots on the face of Elsa are the burns from Budanov's cigarettes. Similar cases were daily routine in Chechnya.

Amid Russian war on Ukraine in 2014-15, Russians have created sophisticated network of prisons and camps, where also women and girls were held in captivity and raped by Russian soldiers and mercenaries on routine basis - some of them for years. p.dw.com/p/35aAd

Some of these rape cases were even confirmed by Russians themselves. For example, as a notorious "Babay" warlord got into conflict with Russian leadership, Russians have revealed infos on dozens of kidnapping, rape and murder cases by Babay and his troop: mk.ru/politics/2016/…

This way of spreading terror was so popular amid Russians, that they have used it in Central African Republic lately. Rape was of that scale, that it was mentioned by the UN experts. reliefweb.int/report/central…

Russian tendency not only to tolerate, but to organise mass rapes in occupied territories was well-known since years. I personally published an appeal to Germany's "feminist" Foreign Minister @ABaerbock a month before the war, calling her to support Ukraine and prevent rape.

On 2nd February, I have urged @ABaerbock to be a feminist and to support Ukrainian women. Nothing happened. She has coldly denied any military support for Ukraine. While Ukrainian women grabbed for rifles they had, Annalena played into Putin's hands.

We know, what happed after. It was predictable, it was clear, it was known, it was just ignored. This betrayal of Ukrainian women and girls was the main reason why I quit the @Die_Gruenen party. Germany is responsible for what happened. I don't know how this debt can be payed.

I really can't stop shouting about this tragedy. On Jan 3rd, Foreign Minister @ABaerbock pushed her terrible destructive policy of "deescalation" depriving Ukraine of weapons. This was a clear invitation for Putin to attack a soft target. Who advised her?!
