It is, however, true that I have a few musician friends who reverted to making this kind of “chill” music when they had kids - and discovered they make more from that than they did from streams of their artist albums…
And if they make more and shorter tracks, they can make even more, as they make the same from a one-minute chill track than a five-minute song they spent weeks on. This all dilutes the royalty pool and drives down rates. #FixStreaming#PaySongwriters
