BREAKING SKETCHY AF NEWS: BUCKLE UP- The FBI has removed huge biohazard bags and coolers CONTAINING 5 FETUSES from the DC home of Lauren Handy, an anti-abortion extremist who was one of 9 anti-abortion clinic invaders arrested this week by the FBI bit.ly/3LwWYyA
Handy and the 8 others arrested have been part of the Red Rose Rescue, a group that has been specializing in violence against clinics for years, specifically invading them, chaining themselves to waiting room chairs and terrifying patients.
Handy IS PART OF PAAU a “pro-life feminist organization” 🤣 🤮 and participates in these invasions with Christian terrorist organizations like Survivors Of The Abortion Holocaust and members of Army of God. Who is the Army of God...
Army of God is an org whose foundations are the belief that murdering abortion providers is justifiable homicide in the eyes of their shitty, shitty, God, and several of their associates were at Jan 6th insurrection. bit.ly/3Lwqwfs
But the biohazard piece is very alarming. This movement has a history of just “Finding fetuses and holding press conferences about it, presenting it on an altar and one Ohio politician claimed a dog found one in a dumpster and delivered in to their owner.
Their tactics are ALL PROJECTION. EVERYTHING THEY ACCUSE CLINICS OF DOING THEY ARE DOING. This is not some sort “prolife" expose of abortion providers - it is a macabre fetish that violates laws, harms patients, and endangers people’s health.
SO AGAIN: QUESTIONS: Why do non-medical people have these fetuses? Where are they coming from? Why are only these crackpots always “finding fetuses? If they “found it? Why is it NEVER reported to authorities?
I will be discussing all of this with AAF’s security expert @spygirl on TONIGHT’S episode of Feminist Buzzkills Live! 4p et On the #AbortionAF Youtube channel. YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS THIS EPISODE.

NYC FRIENDS: Need a reliable, and hopefully affordable place to convert VHS tapes. Apparently I am one of the only people who has the first 2 years of @TheDailyShow on record. No one seems to have the masters, not even the network.
Also, where are the masters and why is this ok?
I remember going to the Newseum in DC when it was still open and seeing a whole Daily Show exhibit that had no mention of the show before Jon. Nothing about the creators or OG team. It was weird.
THREAD: The death of Alex Trebek has a very special meaning to me as watching Jeopardy! together was the way my conservative father and I found respect for each other. I wrote about it in my book and thought I would share the passage as it is relevant on a lot of levels today.
I must confess, I also secretly liked when Dad was in the hospital, too. When he was, I timed my daily visits for three p.m. That was the time that Jeopardy! (the exclamation point is for effect and also part of the trademark title of the show) aired locally.
I would climb onto the bed with him, he would rub my hand, and we’d watch Jeopardy! Watching Jeopardy! together was a ritual I started in college when I tried to find a way to avoid talking politics with him.
THREAD: Friends. This is my sister Mary. Last month I came to MPLS to become one of her caregivers during her late stage ALS. Here is the harsh reality. Insurance/Medicare doesn’t cover any of her end of life homecare so our family needs help. gofundme.com/f/mary-winstea…
The cruelty of this disease is made worse by the lack of resources to help someone as enter hospice care. Every expense is 100% out of pocket and because of Covid there are no volunteers or alt caregivers. We cannot do it alone. #ALS
If you can share or have something to give I would be so grateful. We are in such need and want to make sure we can guarantee she won’t be alone or isolated during this process. The average family spends 200k out of pocket and while we have some, we need your help. Thank you.
I have been trying to figure out my discomfort with the Times double endorsement, and I keep going back to the old sexist trope "It takes two women to do the job one man can do." It just doesn't sit right with me somehow. How is everyone else feeling?
I love all these comments because the feeling I have expressed here isn’t necessarily a hard landing for me, but an initial thought that I wanted to express and get your thoughts. Lots of good takes here. Thank you!
I must admit, part of why it hit me that way was because I have had the experience in comedy over and over where a club owner would make 2 women split a headliner spot to make sure it was a “strong” show.
THREAD: gonna be real clear. Do not start a service to help someone w/logistics in getting an abortion simply because you are passionate about helping. It’s dangerous. THINGS TO KNOW: FIRST- there already are organizations that do this.
like @MidwestAccess@FundMSabortions and Haven coalition among them. These are networks that have been developed with experts and you should use your enthusiasm and money to support and help them grow.THIS IS SERIOUS.
I have done this work for YEARS and raise money to help them and amplify them BUT stay in my lane BECAUSE I DO NOT HAVE THEIR EXPERTISE.
There are logistical and safety issues and legalities and nuances that these orgs have developed. PLEASE understand this.
