'It's the duty of security department to make assessments & advice the party whether to participate in an election. I felt humiliated for failing dismally in Epworth. Had Mwonzora funded the security dep, it may have advised us to boycott the elections.'

'Mwonzora pinpointed me to run in Epworth & I refused. He then called me to his lawfirm & promised US $10 k to all candidates which wasn't sufficient as I needed US $50k. He convinced me to accept his idea & I submitted my nomination lackadaisically.

'When campaigns started, Mwonzora only gave me RTGS $100k not even enough to service my car. I plunged US $50k. Had I participated as an independent candidate, I would have performed better or even won. People of Epworth were saying your party is ZanuPF's appendage.'
