Can confirm Ukrainian armed forces destroyed an armoured convoy of 13 tanks and APCs 48 hours ago near Irpin. Visual confirmation to follow.
Here’s the first four
Another four
Another four - one more to come later, phone died on me
To make life easier for the OSINT guys, here is a dropped pin on that destroyed convoy, just south of the village of Zabuchchya, on the outskirts of Irpin
Stand up from the location:
And here’s a walkthrough of the devastation, there were several more tanks and APCs discovered a few hundred yards from here
Soldiers on scene told us that the ambush had taken place 48 hours ago, one of the APCs was still smouldering, even after 2 days of rain. Soldiers say they had removed 8 Russian corpses from the battlefield yesterday.
There were still several corpses inside these vehicles, charred beyond recognition and impossible to identify. There were no destroyed Ukrainian vehicles anywhere in the vicinity.
If I had to hazard a guess, I would say these vehicles were heading north when they were ambushed, which would be the direction of retreat from the E-40/M-06 highway. The highway is now back under full Ukrainian control.
There were no audible sounds of artillery, shelling or any other kind of combat for miles around. The Russians have fully retreated from this area.
Will upload that final APC to this thread once I get it sent to me by a colleague.
That’s all for today folks, if you’ve found my reporting useful and want to support my work out here, PayPal contributions are always greatly appreciated. Thanks 🙏🏽 paypal.com/paypalme/ozkat…
As promised - number 13.
Ukrainian MOD published a video yesterday claiming this column was destroyed by 2 Ukrainian tanks.
Sorry the tank thread may be a while, i rescued this poor little abandoned guy after he limped over to me at the destroyed column. Don’t have a name for him, and frankly no idea how to look after a dog, but apparently we’re pals now
I guess his name is Tank now, and he’s a *very* good boy.
I may have to end up finding a forever home for him very soon because I don’t even know how to bring this lil guy with me, but I guess he’s my responsibility for at least the short term!
Following on from the last destroyed armour column, I can confirm 22 destroyed Russian tanks and APCs were located in one road in Bucha. These were destroyed at least a few weeks ago according to locals. Visual confirmation to follow.
Right, confirmation, good luck identifying some of these, they’re absolutely fucked. (4)
Do the Labour Left have anything to say other than “Corbyn good, Starmer bad, antisemitism smear, leaked report proves it”? Like how many times am I going to read the same article before you realise that nobody is buying your lies & moaning anymore? It’s been like 2 years guys.
If you have nothing to offer but piss and vinegar, don’t be surprised nobody is listening. At least learn from the failures the rest of Labour made 2015-2019. Or just piss and moan and wonder why nobody is listening, makes no difference to me 🤷🏽♂️
Always written by a middle class white dude in his mid-to-late thirties pretending he speaks for younger generations and ethnic minorities. Bro you speak exclusively for university graduates who gentrified Hackney. 🙏🏽
Sometimes I’m taken aback by just how far this party has come since the humiliation of the Corbyn years on foreign policy. They didn’t just take back control of the party, they took on the cranks head on and exposed them for what they were.
For years Stop The War and friends platformed and promoted war crimes denial and outright apologism for human rights abuses while they were largely ignored by the party. During the Corbyn years those views effectively became party policy.
Under Starmer this group can no longer operate with the veneer of credibility it applied to itself through the endorsement of Labour parliamentarians. It is no longer ignored. Its equivocation and useful idiocy is no longer tolerated.
Good thread this, from my own perspective, I knew Russia would invade Kyiv and I knew Ukraine would fight hard, but similarly, I too thought Kyiv would fall within weeks. Never been happier to be wrong about anything in all my life.
Somehow though, the people who denied Russia could ever invade or that the whole of Ukraine would collapse are still offering their perspectives on this when they should have either shut up or publicly re-evaluated their positions by now. A lot of frauds work in foreign policy.
Make no mistake, they are frauds, and that says nothing of the ones that are outright apologists.
Day 22 of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, all of its military advances have been stalled by fierce Ukrainian resistance. Russia responds to this by deliberately bombing children.
When I first started these updates, I did so because many journalists were (understandably) fleeing the city due to the belief that Kyiv would fall in 48-72 hours. All I wanted to do was reassure people that myself and other journalists I arrived with wouldn’t abandon them.
No matter what happened, I wanted Ukrainians to know that there were those of us who would stand with them, come what may. I had no idea what the next day would hold, but every morning I woke up to find Kyiv still standing, still defiant.
