Georgia has adjourned it's legislative session and thus has had 5 bills cease to be active! These are SB435, SB266, HB401, HB372, and HB276. Most of these have not moved in some time and may be resurrected next session, but for now we can breathe a sigh of relief!
Alabama HB322 has passed Senate Government Affairs Committee. It only require one more floor vote before being sent to the Governor. This is a bathroom bill that applies to all public schools, and defines "biological sex" by birth certificate.
South Carolina H4608 passed the House and is going to the Senate. This is a standard anti-trans sports bill, mandating that athletics at secondary + postsecondary schools divide athletics by "biological sex", using genitalia, genetics + testosterone.
Oklahoma SB1100 passed House Public Health Committee, and is going to floor. This bill prevents birth certificates from having any sex /gender designation other than male or female. A nonbinary or "X" designation is not allowed.
Tennessee SB2316 had a hearing this morning, and was deferred until 4/13. This bill targets trans-girl students, which bans students whose "biological sex" is male from participating in female, women, or girls sports. Please reach out to the Governor and the Lt. to stop this!
There have been reports of attempts to overturn the future veto of PA HB972, a bill that was already both tabled and brought back. This is a depressingly generic sports bill, aside from lacking any clear definition of how to designate "male" and "female"
It's not too late to help stop hateful anti-trans bills from passing into law. YOU can go to transformationsproject.org to learn more and contact your representatives to #StepUpForTransKids!

Tennessee HB800 has passed committee again, and is on the floor. In this “don’t teach gay” bill, it will prohibit any instructional materials from “normalizing and supporting” LGBTQ+ community. They want to remove us from existence

Alabama HB322 has passed the Senate Governmental Affairs Committee with a favorable report. It is now on the Senate floor and if passed, shall be sent to the Governor. This is a bathroom bill that applies to all public schools, and defines "biological sex" by birth certificate.
Ohio has introduced HB616, which although coached in language that claims to prevent racist ideas being taught, is in truth another one of the horrible "don't say gay or trans" laws. It is another attempt to ban our existences by pretending we do not exist.

South Carolina has also resurrected a very old bill from last year, S06531, which has passed committee. This is another standard anti-trans sports bill based on "biological sex", but without any clear definition on how that would be defined.

Arizona SB1138 and SB1165 were signed by the governor today. These bills prohibit access to trans affirming health care and block trans women from competing athletically with their peers. Both bills are harmful and destructive, not to mention cruel
Oklahoma SB2, a hold-over bill from last session has also been signed into law. This is a standard sports bill that has the added delight of declaring trans kids in sports to be an "emergency", never mind all else that has been happening.
