👐🏾 10 days they started applying for jobs and got 5 companies REACH OUT, a Recruiter contact directly about an unlisted job and passed many phone interviews and had 3 final interviews that week alone.

So many job seekers believe that if they have only been in one industry or one job title, they are destined to be stuck in that cycle forever. UNTRUE.👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾

You really just need to update your resume to match the title, years of exp., and skills of each position you apply to.

Ex: Let’s say you have been a Teacher for 7+ years and you’re wanting to transition into Tech and see an open role for a Product Manager position at Google.

💎 Put “Product Manager” as the title of your resume (them kids was the projects and you managed them divinely)

Make sure the moment you get a callback for an interview that you start DOING YOUR HOMEWORK ON THE COMPANY!

📒 Get a notepad out and get fully educated on the following:

• Their values
• Their mission statement
• Their goals

Read the ‘About’ on their website!

Your goal is to make it “appear” like you are the ideal candidate that was being described in the job description. That is your ROLE to play, so get comfortable ACTING.

🌟THREAD—Here are all the things that you should be changing/tweaking on your resume every time you apply to a new job.

(meaning if you apply to 17 positions, you should have 17 variations of the master copy of your resume):

1. The title of the position

If you are applying to a job where the title on the job description is “Media Assistant” you need to put the title “Media Assistant” on your resume.

Then, if you see a role for a Media Specialist that you also like… Change the title again!

The title is also going to be reiterated in the Professional Profile Statement so you must change it in two places.

Once in the actual title at the top of the page and again for the second time in the Professional Profile Statement.
