2- Formation of Presidential Council reflect current military reality in Yemeni government areas & nomination of Pres. Rashad Al Alimi wasn't based on being common denominator only but also competence.

3- a four southern leadership out of 8 member council dilutes risk of destructive secession while sustains importance of resolving souther political & social grievances.
4- Keeping mandate of the Presidential Council to political, security & military intends to protect economy.

5- Legal perspective isn't as important given wider political construct determined by GCC initiative, UN resolutions under 7th Chapter have space to give international legitimacy while on ground legitimacy is through Vice Presidents's constituencies

6- The process was successful in initiating reconciliation amongst adversaries in the camp of the Yemeni government.

the wider population through the necessary following measures on the legislative, reconciliation and economic fronts.

Like any peace deal amid conflict this was far from perfect but my assessment is that it was a win and a crucial step in the right direction. It requires...

Additional steps, yes, but this effort need to be supported and but on by the international community.
