#notMyCat went face to face with Napoleon who didn't move. Backed off and both accepted snacks. More staring. Then he came round the back of the chair and hissed at Napoleon who finally retreated upstairs. #notMyCat stayed at the bottom. Was picked up and put out
So...
POSITIVES: Napoleon stood his ground. This gave #notMyCat considerable pause for thought (as I've said before, he's a posh-boy playing street kitty and he knows it). Napoleon clearly still willing to be friends.
NEGATIVES: #notMyCat still not willing to share house.
It's all slightly frustrating as I know a single swipe to the head from Napoleon would put #notMyCat in his place. He'd then accept the status quo quicker.
But maybe we'll get there.
Stupid thing is that if there was a way to tell #notMyCat that his snack supply depended on being nice to Napoleon, then he'd shrug and do it in an instant. Dude has simple goals in life. I respect that.

BTW, Season 1 Episode 14 of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic ("Suited for Success") should be compulsory viewing on design courses.
It perfectly encapsulates the level of client feedback you'll get on every project you will ever work on.
"Suited for Success" even has an entire fucking musical number which is every client brief meeting you've ever sat through.
I think the writer of this episode had opinions.
The whole episode is a massive dig at how creativity by amateur committee is a bad idea. Which is interestingly high concept for a series aimed at pre-teen girls.
Rando fact: @SofiGaming was the first person who subbed to me on Twitch. I'd just gone affiliate doing history/gaming mix in HOI4. Wasn't sure peeps would like it.
Still remember the alert:
"Loving this. Do more!"
Her stuff is ace. If you don't follow/watch her, start now!
@SofiGaming Her World of Tanks streams are one of my go-to late night background watches, for the effortless combo of gaming and tank natter that is the EXACT OPPOSITE of the toxicity that blend can often be. They're just lazy, inclusive history gaming natter.
@SofiGaming And, as a streamer myself these days, I know how hard that is to cultivate and maintain with just 100 or so in chat, let alone five or ten times that.
I can understand the experience of growing up in a council house, with no income security, of having loads of debt and the effect all that had on them and me.
But I also recognise that my experience NOW isn't that. So I need to listen when people NOW talk about that.
I'm proud of where I came from, but I'm also proud of what I have become.
And I feel that brings with it an obligation to try and prevent this government (and people in general) from pulling up the ladder for others to make the same class transition.
