🧵/link in last tweet. "C’mon there, rape Ukrainian women and don’t tell me anything. Just don’t forget about contraception!". People were shocked with this conversation between Russian soldier and his wife, tapped by SBU in Kherson region. Together with @cxemu we found them.
From our sources we got their phone numbers. Both of them used those numbers to register on VKontakte social network.
The guy who called his wife and received the "clearance" to rape Ukrainian women is Roman Bykovsky. Born in Orel, served in National Guard troops, famous Dzerzhinsky Division. Then signed a contract with 108th Air Assault Regiment, based in Novorossiysk.
This Regiment in known for its role in Crimea annexation, so Roman paid them back for stealing the peninsula from Ukraine in 2014 – shortly before signing the contract he moved his family to Feodosia where they settled in.
His wife Olga, who "authorized" her husband to rape Ukrainian women, also was born in Orel. They are raising a 4-years old son. If you’re ok with living on the stolen land, then why not to authorize your husband to "steal" and rape people, really.
I called both of them, they confirmed their names, voices match with those on the tapped conversation. Hope Roman didn’t have much time to realize "permission" granted by his wife. She told me he’s recovering from the wounds in Sevastopol hospital.
This conversation may have been just a stupid joke, but mass rape by Russian soldiers in Ukraine are real. There are multiple horrible reports about them, including Kherson region, partly occupied by Russia. euronews.com/2022/04/12/i-d…
🧵/ link in the last tweet. How high resolution panoramic photo of recent Putin’s speech in Moscow, during Crimea annexation celebration, allowed us to track one of his guards.
Here's the link to the photo (gigarama.ru/putinluzhniki). On the crop you can see 2 guys on the scene, wearing professional headphones, standing behind what looks like professional sound equipment. They were there during the whole show.
Let’s FindClone them. No results for the guy on the left, but good score for the guy on the right, in blue jacket. We see him on the photo published by VK user "Alexander Popov". Post is deleted, but photo scrapped by FindClone.
This is NASA FIRMS system screenshot, showing fire and hotspots in Mariupol, Ukraine, from 00 GMT March 19th. Dusty pink are "Human Built-ups and settlements". firms.modaps.eosdis.nasa.gov/map/#d:today;@…
Some fires are 12-24 hours as long (yellow squares)
In green square which I added is Mariupol Drama Theatre, bombed by Russian aviation on March 16th (mind it's not current, but historical satellite imagery).
🧵/ link in the last tweet. With @pustota and priceless help of @delfoo we dive a little bit into Rus army comms and coordination problems. Like, is it ok to have the whole howitzer-artillery battalion equipped with cheap Chinese Baofeng radios, with just 2 preset frequencies?
We've seen these walkie-talkies before: in Syria, CAR, Donbass, even UA army itself sometimes use them. But the whole battalions, really? This is just one of the reasons why Russian troops stuck in Ukraine so quickly and are being ambushed so often.
Even more serious problem is automated command and control systems. Russian forces have several types of them, poorly compatible with each other and/or outdated and lacking in the army. Especially air force coordination is the problem. Huge lack of flexibility.
Anna-News videos reveal one more lie of the Russian MoD. After the theatre bombing MoD said "On the afternoon of March 16, Russian aviation did not carry out any tasks related to strikes against ground targets in the city of Mariupol". t.me/mod_russia/132…
On the Anna-News video from the same TG-post where young woman describes how "Azov" blown up the theatre (though she hasn’t been there herself as we figured out yesterday) you can hear background conversation of pro-UA woman and pro-RUS man (1.05).
"Your plane flew up in the sky" she says – "It didn’t strike shelters", a man answers.
Both videos in this post were filmed on March 16th, one 3 minutes after another, few hours after the theatre was bombed. t.me/neoficialniybe…
Russian strike destroys Mariupol theater where several hundred people were hiding. Russian MoD cynically claims that "Azov nationalists have blown it". No confirmed reports about casualties, but I expect the biggest number of victims for one accident since the start of the war.
Russia knew for sure before the strike that people were hiding there. There was not a single report of course that "Azov" or UA forces prevent people from fleeing. t.me/neoficialniybe…
If that does not qualify for a pure war crime, then I have no idea wat does.
🧵How Russian MoD misinforms public about its "precise" air strikes. Today they published this Ka-52 video, claiming it shows "helicopter crews destroying armored vehicles of Ukrainian nationalists with anti-tank GUIDED missiles" (source: tass.ru/armiya-i-opk/1…).
The problem is that on the target designator (correct me if this thing is called differently) you can clearly see that the missile which he is preparing to fire is UNGUIDED S-8 rocket. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S-8_(rock…
This fact of misinformation have even been noticed by pro-Russian Telegram channels. They seem to very afraid of the newly imposed laws, which provide up to 15 years of jail for spreading "fakes" about Russian army (source: t.me/fighter_bomber…)
