1) Keep hearing consumers are addicted to fossil fuels. F no we aren't. We've been forced to drive fossil fueled cars for 50 yrs when if we'd stopped oil oligarchs from blocking & undermining new non-fossil fuel technology so that hybrid/elec vehicles would've emerged back then
2) made cheaply & used by everyone & we wouldn’t be
looking at the imminent death of the planet right now. We wouldn’t care how much oil Putin had b/c it would be worthless. No we had to insure that Shell, Arco, BP etc etc kept making their enormous profits. They weren’t EVER
3) going to allow that. Fossil fuels are a symptom of what’s really killing this planet: Fn human greed & selfishness is the underlying problem. #FossilFuels @threadreaderapp unroll

1)Stopping treat her like victim. Jada Smith is very out there in the media discussing the alopecia issue. She openly displays the problem. Refuses to wear a wig and gives the impression it's no big deal to her vanity. Who would've dreamed they would go ballistic over such a mild
2) teasing reference to it? They come across pretty haughty and I saw their faces when it happened. They were not hurt. They were PISSED. Almost an attitude that royal protocol had been broken. They need to get over themselves, stop playing the victim and expecting special
3) treatment at an awards show that historically regularly features comedians poking fun at the Academy poo bahs in a good natured way which is exactly what Chris Rock did. What the Smiths have done is insure that this incident will be eternally part of Chris Rock's stand up.

1) When I was in grammar school & at home with parents I don't remember parents spending time trying to exorcise classrooms of negative "political" influences & trust me it wasn't b/c teachers didn't have their own political views of history & current events that were espoused
2) so these kind of debates like CRT I don't get. We discussed what we learned that day at the dinner table & if my parents didn't agree with what teacher taught they said so but there was no thought of censoring what the teacher presented b/c I suppose they realized those ideas
3) are out there in the world & we'd be exposed to them sooner or later. Home schoolers seem to want to prevent their children from exposure to the culture they don't agree with. It's their right but censorship always inspires the one being protected from seeking the forbidden

espionagehistoryarchive.com/2015/10/31/put… This is a link to an historical archive of Russian espionage. Putin had a long career in the KGB .If even half of this KGB Colonel's assessment of Putin's character is true, it is even more disheartening that Putin has chosen this disastrous path of
2) aggression toward Ukraine etc. He has had the potential to be a great leader who did many positive things for his country and instead years ago apparently made the decision to begin trying to reestablish the borders of the former USSR. I have read a number of sources re:
3) Putin so my conclusions are not strictly based on this colonel's account, but certainly Putin sounds like he has 100X the character of the former Orange POTUS and is at least 40 IQ points smarter than Don the Con. The impression is that he was a much better husband and father

1) In 1861 eleven states decided they were not going 2 abide by the Constitution & they refused 2 go along with what the rest of Union wanted. So they seceded & formed their own "nation". Today pretty much the same states with some additonal red states in the West and Midwest
2) have decided they no longer want 2 participate in a country that adheres 2 the Constitution. Instead of trying 2 persuade voters 2 agree with them, they want 2 overturn lawful elections by spreading lies & BS conspiracy theories. They refuse 2 work with other members of
3) Congress who aren't like minded which of course means that there's no real governance going on because most meaningful legislation & decisions require 2/3 vote to pass. So in effect, this recalcitrant authoritarian group of Americans have essentially seceded from the Union

1) I know the Brits love their monarchy. The history, pomp etc but increasingly its become anachronistic institution that serves little real purpose & just a burden on the taxpayer as well as actual royal family. Q Eliz is 1 of richest women in world. Give em a generous severance
2) package & let em be on their way. None of them seem all that happy in the burdensome role they're required to play. Just hire some actors to act out the parts for tourists when they gawk at Buckingham Palace & put an end to the waste & effort. Have a big festival annually
3) to celebrate & acknowledge the more memorable reigns like a Renaissance Faire.

@JonFlan 1) I get that we don't want to act like a banana republic casually locking up political foes but WTF? We can't habitually let the crooks at the top off the hook in a country that's supposedly based on rule of law. The fish rots from the head & all this corruption is ruining
@JonFlan 2) America & leading to 40% of the population with zero conscience or desire for democracy. Power is all that matters & they'll do whatever it takes to get it w/o a speck of shame. My take is: if you aren't corrupt or breaking the law U have nothing to fear from an investigation
@JonFlan 3) Hillary proved that with all those ridiculous unfounded investigations re Benghazi. Besides: did not many ppl go 2 prison 4 refusing to name names during McCarthy witch hunt? So don't tell me that congress doesn't have the ability to punish those who refuse to cooperate.
