apparently you just say "hey yeah btw i paid this in estimated taxes sooooooooo"

now lets see what i have to deal with for reporting income from sale of an s-corp shouldnt be that hard right

overall i recommend never owning a business

ok so if im understanding correctly i need every K-1 and financial document for this s-corp from the beginning of time in order to completely compute stock basis

because AFAICT they sure werent tracking the stock basis anywhere

time has gone by and i am discovering the problem is less the IRS than it may be @TeamTurboTax because let me tell you their documentation is NOT GREAT and their ability to interpret K-1 forms seems highly suspect

like turbotax but with worse UI and vastly better UX

ok well assuming they accept my return im done

ended up owing like $1700 which is just about ideal imo
