Our Genesis collection hit the NFT space in late June 2021, with mint on 7th Sept. It was the vision of a young artist @27_janz and reflected all of the things he loved in his life, anime, Japanese(pop)-culture, memes and urban streetwear.

We took off with insane amounts of hype, sold out in minutes and momentarily took the top spot in traded volume on OpenSea. Its fair to say we are one of the OG anime brands in the space launching alongside ON1Force and Divine Anarchy.

We all know shit hit the fan on mint day. Did we make mistakes? Damn right we did. We are not too proud to admit this. But without making mistakes you can never improve and grow. Every big company you are familiar with, got there because of making mistakes and learning from them.

We are confident we did our utmost best to do the right thing at every stage. Ever since the birth of The Sevens we kept working, providing value to our core community and making decisions together. The community is the core of The Sevens and always will be.

7 months later, we feel it's time to revisit our output. We lived up to everything laid out on our roadmap, and more. This is not a brag post, this is showing we are here for the long term.

Sept 21. Genesis sold out and two more artists were recruited from the community. @Ranvellion and @ninjacats18 brought with them new skills and much needed diversity.

Oct 21. Organized a huge poker tournament hosted by international poker star Max Young to entertain the community while we build. The mint pass program for Season Two is launched rewarding Genesis diamond hands with their Eve Airdrop or Allowlist.

Nov 21. Launched the $ZENI governance token and staking program where our community could stake their NFTs for $ZENI rewards. $ZENI tokens can now be used for DAO voting and the purchase of Companions, our mid-season NFT drop.

Dec 21. The Companions collection is launched to $ZENI holders. Community voted to open it for public $ETH sale, so we did. Seven different animals sharing traits with the Genesis collection. Companions now get a role in the staking program too.

Sevensverse metaverse is launched in Decentraland and 3 new team members are recruited from our community to grow and develop it. 3D Wearables are created and we encourage people to dress in their fav Sevens traits while completing mazes and quizzes.

Jan 22. For the DEFI centric community members we introduced $ZENI farming via an LP staking program where community members can provide liquidity in the $ZENI pool and receive additional $ZENI rewards

Feb 22. It has always been the intention for The Sevens project to be owned by the community. The $ZENI token was introduced, used primarily as a governance token. At soft launch the DAO begins to vote on key project decisions using Snapshot to provide a transparent platform

Mar 22. We team up with Brand and Marketing experts Unsensible and Web Wednesday. The result is the creation of The Sevens lore, to be told via an animated series. We pivot from a NFT/PFP to a broader scoped anime brand and begin to head mainstream.

Apr 22. We launch Eve, our all female follow-up collection to the male Genesis. The art is richer and more detailed than ever. The Eve NFT collection serves to introduce the female leads in our animated series, Toschy and Turner.

Present Day. Eve mint is live thesevensofficial.com/the-sevens-eve. The team is now focusing on delivering the animated series where we will bring to life the NFTs owned by our community. Shortly we will have a character look-up facility where you can see who you own and learn about them

Future. With all the new skills in-house, we thought it was due time for a revamp of the Genesis collection. Owners will be able to exchange $ZENI tokens for a second optimized Genesis NFT that attaches to the first and follows it on the blockchain.

Future. With development in 6 different metaverse projects anywhere you go digitally you'll be able to go as a Seven. More 3D wearables and avatars/skins in development. Inter-project Battle Royale in @nftworldsNFT planned for the summer

Our Targets. Grow the community. Grow the DAO. Grow the story. We will achieve all of these by transitioning into a mainstream brand and opening our arms to the communities of anime, movies, gaming, merchandise and more.
