These students are mere pawns in a CRT role-playing game, the educator/diversity officer is the head gamemaster. Kids think they are creating art, when in fact, she's radicalizing them. @ConceptualJames @MythinformedMKE
Students for a Democratic Society favored direct action to oppose “white supremacy” and “imperial war,” and to achieve civil rights and the radical reconstruction of economic life (i.e., the redistribution of money into the hands of oppressed groups in order to fight racism).
Extremists like the Weather Underground forced SDS to officially disband and take a new approach, the radicals were absorbed into academia. The radical goals were not realized in 1971, but this report was a clarion call to future danger for America’s institutions.
The long term impact of SDS was:
-A shift in the Democratic party from pro-labor focus to identity politics;a
shift that favored elites, college graduates
-Exposed the need to dominate culture & education
-The adoption of a media/PR/propaganda oriented approach to politics
