Republican/Trump Supporters descended on Disney World April 16th to protest "Woke Disney" after Disney made the decision to end contributions to candidates who were advancing policies targeting the LGBTQ community.

Just yesterday, public records requests revealed that he was using his position as a State Rep. to threaten a city council member in his district. He wanted that council member to "cancel" Jennifer Jenkins.
Of course with the insurrection, and everything else that goes on in Florida, maybe the DOJ just has their hands full. I doubt they aren't noticing this stuff, but the fact that it's being allowed to continue is a danger for many, many legitamate reasons.
The federal violation here is of the Hobbs Act (18 U.S.C. § 1951) which defines extortion in terms of "the obtaining of property from another, with his consent . . . under color of official right."

Randy Fine and Ron DeSantis have worked together before to PROTECT special district statutes when changes may have adversely affected criminal political allies. In this case, Randy was only no vote against legislation, and Ron Stood by him and vetoed it.
