We recessed assessed Russian control in Kharkiv near Vilkhivka and recoded it as Russian advances given evidence of Russian tanks retreating from Kutuzivka and Prelesne on April 8 following Ukrainian counteroffensives in Vilkhivka.
We further refined assessed advance near Izyum based on observing new satellite imagery of Russian forces in the area.

We recoded all of Sumy Oblast from Russian assessed advances to Ukrainian claimed counteroffensives after Sumy Oblast Governor Dmytro Zhyvytskyi stated on April 6 that Ukrainian forces liberated Sumy Oblast.
Zhyvytskyi stated that Sumy Oblast territory is completely cleared, “including fields and forests.” He stated that Ukrainian forces were still clearing Sumy Oblast as of the evening of April 3 but that as of April 4 Ukrainian forces had finished clearing Sumy Oblast.
