A long thread on simple investing

Keep it simple

Wealth gets created by keeping things simple.

1) Invest regularly : like regular morning exercises builds health, regular investing builds wealth.

2) Make it a marathon : 'Being regular' is vital but what is even more crucial is being regular for very long (for 10, 15 or 20 years)

3) Knowing Less is More : What is important to remember is invariably wealth creation is inversely proportional to common market knowledge.

Just like incomplete knowledge of medicines can be damaging to health, similarly little knowledge of markets does more harm than good.

In fact it would not be inappropriate to say that one can create wealth by knowing less.

Here's a quick thread on #IDFCFirst - from growth in retail lending to Vaidyanathan's leadership.

1. On 15 Sep, the Govt gave beleaguered telco Vi (formerly Vodafone Idea) something the company hadn’t had for a long time - hope. This came in the form of a relief package for the telecom sector, one which offered telcos a moratorium of up to four years on dues owed to the govt.

2. That said, the govt’s recent relief package for the telecom sector not only brought joy to Vi, but also to the banks it owed like IDFC First. Although IDFC First is still dealing with these legacy issues, it is also moving more towards retail lending under Vaidyanathan's watch

Amazing 8 years of stock market.
A little insight of my journey so far.

Cannot believe one demat account can lead me there. After a failure in a professional course, one of my friends suggested to open a demat account. It was almost 8 years back.

Sep 2013 was the golden moment in my life for simple investment. Had no knowledge of market. Intra day seemed like a foreign word. Did my first equity cash and focused only on equity cash untill I excelled them and for about 3 years I did my fundamental analysis

And the rest is history, 2016 I started learning technical analysis, candles, charts and everything. With the grace of God 2017 I registered with SEBI and became a research analyst. Didn't stop there and went ahead with derivatives

staring with technical analysis

stock has entered wave 3 in weekly chart and wave 1 in monthly chart which shows its upside potential

on daily chart stock has given good closing on thursday with booming 14% and sustaining

moving on to fundamental analysis

the best part is promoter has been increasing stake continuously from 52.7 to 54.16 in last 5 quarters

and moreover reducing pledge from 1.3 to 1.26
