I've Kaggle-ified our beginner's guide to @ProjectJupyter Notebooks -- if you want to learn the basics of using Notebooks, this is a great way to start.

In March @manorlaboratory was a senior author on a paper that looked at spike proteins.

It became one of the most discussed papers ever when anti-vaxxers misunderstood it and claimed it shows vaccines are unsafe.

The original paper has become the most discussed ever in Circulation Research & is in the top 0.005% of discussed papers across all topics.

Most mentions we found of it on social media, youtube, and blogs totally misunderstood what it said.

For instance, here's an enthusiasically wrong all-caps article "MASSIVE: WORLD RENOWNED DOCTOR BLOWS LID OFF OF COVID VACCINE" saying "the vaccine technology produces the dangerous spike protein […] which damages blood vessels and causes blood clotting"

There's a new group, "COVID Safe Schools", which supports 🇦🇺 parents and teachers that are concerned their school isn't safe.

Wow. Schools being told they're not allowed to use air purifiers bought by parents, because they're "not needed" based on an "audit".

BUT the audit was done when schools were closed. So they haven't actually measured CO2 with students present! 1/🧵

Principals are being told that air purifiers could make air quality worse if not maintained properly.
But Prof Lidia Morawska says it's "strongly recommended that schools that do not have ventilation systems capable of keeping indoor particles down be equipped with air purifiers"
