What if #JiangCheng convinced himself that Wei Wuxian did not return in MXY’s body after the ancestral hall incident and GuanYin temple?

Like Jiang Cheng at the end of GuanYin Temple scene leave saying that there’s nothing to say to MXY!WWX because that person isn’t

/his/ shixiong? That person isn’t YMJ WWX, what’s there to say?

He starts carrying Suibian around on his waist like he did during the 3 months WWX was missing back in the war.

He’s waiting for WWX to come back and he can return the sword to his stupid shixiong.

Logically, he knows that WN was telling the truth about his golden core. But it’s fine. Even if WWX can no longer use Suibian, it’s about the /meaning/ behind it.

He continues waiting at LP, chasing down demonic cultivators, whipping them with zidian, hoping, hoping

ok ok but hear me out, on the anniversary of WWX's death, JC always gets drunk sitting on the docks of LP. Before the whole MXY thing, he'll caress Chen Qing but now Chen Qing is in MXY!WWX's hands so he holds Suibian instead.

Seriously, the entire cultivation world thinks SLJ has gone mad and try to take advantage of him. He's ruthless towards demonic cultivators, the world thinks he's going too far because if the YLLZ turned out good, why not the other
